Open 9 months, this hotel offers clean pleasant fully equipped rooms and free transfer to or from the main airport which is only a few minutes away. The site is small but interesting with a little fun swimming pool and view on a wooded valley. The 'Snack Bar' kitchen is open, visible and clean; there is space to eat outside, with a large dining, bar, and small event area inside. The service and food was excellent, if slightly erratic, though it depends very much at present on their chef and master of all trades who is helping set up the service there. There are no vegetables on the menu except salad (to avoid in Cameroon), but excellent vegetables were produced on request. I recommend the sausages!
More super features: the toucans which are convinced there are rivals inside the shiny windows and show themselves up close. Lots of birds in the trees below. Lovely attentive staff all round. All sorts of sounds of people and nature from the area around - not quiet, but not noisy for Africa! The water comes from the hotel well and seems good.

Yaounde has a lovely fresh weather, nice food, friendly people, a very good Cultural franco camerounes center in downtown. The bad side of Yaounde is the so frequent elec tric blackout , thus better stay in appartments which have solar panels, and the lack of coins money of small size in general.

There are no real nice sites to visit or those what we visited were in very bad shape. The traffic and streets are in terrible conditions, there is a huge smog along the streets, you can see the clouds of smog, there are no traffic rules people would keep, motorbikes may come from any directions, it is a miracle how they survive it. We found some kms of better roads but they are eceptions. All richer sites are sorrounded by high walls and fences since the security is a big question. If you are not surrounded by local friends what we had, it woud be even worse. This country needs a lot of money to develop. Rubbish transport is not done therefor there are rubbish nearly everywhere. Most people are very kind and they live in deep poverty. I was warned several times to pull up the car window not to let any people steal anything. International reports are true unfortunately.

Yaounde is a wonderful crazy place full of people from all walks of life.
The shops and markets range from tiny little stalls, to large modern shops.
I would recommend caution when out and about after dark, although I personally didn't experience any problems or feel particularly unsafe.
Eating out can be anything from a roadside stand or mobile barrow, to a high quality restaurant. Prices tend to be quite cheap.
Beware, the traffic is horrendous and crossing the road can be extremely risky.

Yaoundè is a lovely city with its rolling hills and cool weather ...if you love music then boukarou is a great place to be... folks are generally friendly....during the week its not easy to get around due the narrow roads and heavy traffic...for authentic African delicacies head out to Flavours restaurant. The national museum is a must visit if you wish to learn more about the history of Cameroon.
Very friendly and helpful staff and bosses. They did anything to comfort our stay, from an extra bed, to taxidrivers to bring us anywhere for short trips, but also for 5 hours. It's a distance (30') to the city center, but we used these rides to see how live is going in the streets. And the taxi is not expensive at all.
They were also very patient about payments at the hotel bar, prepared food after late night arrival...
I would certainely recommend this hotel, and will go back when in Yaounde again.
Location is great - centrally located in Bastos close to some key embassies but on a quiet street. Short walk to one of the best coffee shops in Yaounde (Terrific Coffee), and close to a few of its nicest restaurants (including Kajazoma). Nice quiet neighborhood to walk in the evening, or for a jog on the weekend. Room was moderately priced yet had all the necessities, eg AC, comfortable bed, hot shower etc. Staff very friendly and helpful. I recommend it if Bastos is where you wish to base yourself.
It is a nice hotel but not more than this. I was tempted between 7 and 8 for this hotel and I put 8, because I saw that the director is taking seriously client's feedback and to improve the service. Eg he added coffee, tea and a mug daily in the room, and a different offer of breakfast. Staff is polite. I was offered a nice room upgrade as I stayed for 10 days.
Managed to get a last minute reservation here during a brief visit in Yaounde. Staff were very helpful and the owner has done an excellent job of providing good quality accommodation. The location was very peaceful, scenic.. very pretty... in an upscale part of the city. A local park is just on your doorstep.
Near Omnisport Stadium. Near United express bus station. Near local restaurants. Very nice staff, especially Jason. Good breakfast, though it would be better if they add local specialties like "beignets haricots". Good vibes during the AFCON. Many arbiters and staff from the COCAN were staying at this hotel.
On a more positive note, I must mention that the facilities and amenities of the hotel remained as impressive as they were during my initial stay. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the other staff members I encountered were friendly and helpful during my first stay.
The hotel is clean and very good condition. Rooms are really nice with staff being very friendly. Also internet is running relatively stable, which is pretty uncommon in Yaoundé. Breakfast is nice and plenty while lunch and dinner options are affordable and of good quality.
Hotel is good, but expensive for what it includes, breakfast is poor, and amenities in the room are very incomplete. I had the same room twice within a month and the same fixtures that were not working were still broken.
The restaurant offers good fresh food although not much choice. Good bed, hotel is kept well cleaned. Staff is helpful and well trained. There is an ATM right near the hotel door, which is convenient.

I loved this apartment! Spacious, modern, warm water, the best view! Many channels and some of the best wifi I had while being in Cameroon. Will definately return next time Im in Yaounde
