I attained the objective of my visit. But for the poor hygiene and sanitation at the Hotel Sawa, all other things were very good.
Dinner at the Gemi Wing restaurant was excellent.
I can easily move around Douala because of the availability of different transport options.
On my net visit, I will avoid the Sawa Hotel

Douala is the life wire of the Cameroon economy, with lots businesses centered here. It is easy to get around with yellow taxi, taxi from your hotel or using a mobile app to get a taxi.
The town is at the sea bed of the atlantic ocean and the wouri river, heavy rainfall, hot and humid weather! Akwa, where my hotel was located, was not clean at all, especially at Boulevard Ahmadou Ahidjo. The streets had not been swept and refuse dump every where.

The house was dusty and the fridge dirty.
The house was dusty and the fridge dirty. The sheet were of the same as what was advertised hence not changed. The electricity is prepaid and i have to pay for that. I later noted that under the bed was never swept. ( see picture). They were cockroaches in the bathroom. Overall the state of the place was so dirty and not worth the money paid.

Douala is a beautiful city but you just have to be careful when making a reservation for a place to stay because you can see many of them online of which they do exist even if you do resaved a place make sure to having a conversation with them before starting your journey if ever the contact number provided doesn’t go through forget it because it will never go through.

If you want to have excellent and gorgeous fish for lunch/dinner, go to Base Navale, there you will find places looking very simple, some built in colonial style, but the feeling and the fresh catch of the day will let you dream.
Everything. The apartment is exactly as shown in pictures with luxurious furnishings in the living room, bedroom and kitchen alike. The location is great, and the host was extremely nice and proactive. The concierge Alain is very amiable and helpful. Also for the comfort and quality of the apartment, i think it is great value for money. I absolutely love everything about the place and will make it my go to place for my family get away in Douala.
everything was really perfect , very friendly staff communicative and very supportive. the flat itself was very well located, easy to access either by car or by foot, had parking space outside of the building and from my room could still see and monitor my car. the environment is secure. the flat was very clean and well equipped. I spent more than a week there and definitely any time in Douala it will be my place to be.
The staff were absolutely wonderful. They were welcoming, helpful and attentive. It was very easy to arrange for a hotel shuttle and the shuttle was waiting at the airport when I arrived. The breakfast was decent fruits, croissants, beignets and a more hearty breakfast of beans and other dressings if that is you’re preference. There are also omelets available upon request.
I have stayed in over 20 different locations in Douala and for the location, price and quality, this is by far the best I have been to. Safe location in Bonapriso, ample secured parking, upgraded and very well cleaned apartments including extremely clean bathrooms, free and working fast WIFI. Overall very good value.
I really liked the hotel and the attitude of the staff to the guests. I personally would like to thank the marketing director Mr. Patrick Kouam for his professionalism. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my colleagues and will definitely come back myself.

The room is clean but not very nice either. Breakfast is great. It is the best of the hotel. Is there a pool. The hotel is very nice but the hall is very small. There is a cafeteria but it is very noisy.
Nice staff, good restaurant with delicious food, comfortable, clean room. Bed was good. Air conditioning worked. Not far by walking to central Douala, about a 20 minute walk. Friendly people.
The area of Douala is an interesting place not far from the airport Lot of places to eat and good facilities. Its a good location for someone who is spending a night before taking a flight.
