Excellent service from all staff, great facilities. Perfect spot if you're looking to just chill. Bonus if its whale watching, as they are right there. Close to main town & bus stop right at the front.. Breakfast was great, more than what I normally have..lots of fresh fruit, variety of breads to choose & daily sweet or savoury pastry etc.. Restaurant & Sand Deck menu great. Rooms serviced daily, kitchenette super handy. Adults only, but good mix of ages. Will stay there again.

The best views and whale ‘swim bys’. The people, cats, dogs and chickens were all friendly and well taken care of. Great spot once you get past the airport which is comfy but understaffed. Lots of long waits going in and out of various lines.

Raratonga is like going back to the 70's.
Raratonga is like going back to the 70's. Very laid back and and at a slower pace. The PEOPLE were exceptionally friendly and informative. They are very proud of their ISLAND and their Heritage and History. They are making every effort to care for their environment and the reef that surrounds the island. The food and New Zealand wines were beautiful, at New Zealand prices, in most of the restaurants. A lot of BNB'S are taking over along the beach, which makes it difficult for workers to find accommodation (as is happening everywhere) It is very peaceful and restful and when the sun is out SENSATIONAL

We loved Rarotonga for many reasons.
We loved Rarotonga for many reasons. We had an excellent experience. The place, the climate, the pace of life, our hostess and accomodation. We dined out every night, we ate a lot at the Muri markets, the local pub, restaurants around the island etc. We enjoyed exploring the island and learning more about the culture. We loved that it was safe to walk , even at night after the night markets. Another plus is that Rarotonga uses NZ currency and English is spoken as well as the native language.

There are a lot of places to visit around the island, food is expensive as they are imported items. Travelling is quite easy as there are not many vehicles on the road. Activites that can be done is swimming at different places on the island. Inland tours and ocean tours and visiting the many old historical places around the island. you have to be careful as there are stray dogs roaming around and they do chase after bikes.

The warmth of the winter weather, the friendliness of the local people, plenty to see and do if desired or just to chill. Good food easily available.
We will go back to Rarotonga and The Cook Islands.
In the end we chose to hire a convertible and we both enjoyed that experience. We particularly enjoyed Margaritas and Maranui Gardens, both had excellent food at reasonable prices. We also found great food at the National Museum (great coffee and homemade cheesecake)

Very family friendly, very easy to get around especially with a hire car. Lots to do or do nothing & just relax on the beautiful beaches.
Recommend the markets, swimming with turtles & sunset at Black Rock Beach.
Absolute beachfront with easy access. Lovely view from covered deck Out to, reef and beyond. Adequate private area for sun loungers, outdoor furniture and dining.
House is comfortable and has very well equipped kitchen. It’s not 5 star but certainly ticked all of our requirements. Has a great holiday home vibe. Easy walk to several excellent eateries, Island bus stops right outside and a good stretch of beach for walks. Annie our on-site hostess was friendly, helpful and unobtrusive.
Fantastic all round. We had a wonderful family holiday in Rarotonga at The Edgewater. The breakfast setup is superb for families and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Fantastic value for money. We stayed in the 3 Bedroom Garden Villa and it was so good for our family. Heaps of room, great clean cooking facilities, the laundry washing machine was superb and the dishwasher was awesome as well.
The bungalow was gorgeous and had everything we needed. It was right next to the beach and the location was the best part of the Cook Islands in my opinion. The best thing was Shirley our host who went above and beyond to make sure we had a fantastic stay. We will be back!!
Liana & Sera were amazing, nothing was too much trouble, our villa was spotless, the beds were super comfy. We were able to use facilities at Muri Beach Club Hotel, which is a magnificent property. I will definately be coming back
