Wonderful position just in front of the lake. Room really spacious with a large bathroom. Good convention with a covered parking right outside the main entrance of the hotel. Confortable lift inside the hotel. Ladies at the reception really kind for any request.

It is such a good centre and very beautiful.
It is such a good centre and very beautiful. We know it well and have spent a holiday there for the past 50 years.We ate well in Bella Vista ,in Elio's Riviera and in the Baren restaurant at Reichenbach
The only bad thing was the constant noise blasted from an amusement area beside the swimming pool

well the location of the hotel was the main draw ,, but the town is quite nice down round the bay , its more industrial the further you get towards the station area .. but has shopping up on main street , and good connection to roads

Spiez is one of many towns around the lakes which are all serviced by the ferry network that goes around the lake. Spiez is beautiful and has a real port town ambience. It has good amenities including a major train station - choose to avoid the bustle of Interlaken and the high prices. Make sure you have a swiss travel pass or interrail pass so you can enjoy free travel on the ferries to get between the lake towns - an incredible experience you will not forget.

Spiez is a beautiful small town.
Spiez is a beautiful small town. It is at the shore of Lake Thun and has a port for boats going round Thun Lake. It is a very good place to discover the Thun and Brienz Lake but having a Railway station it is also suitable to discover wider souronding. Spiez is smaller and much queiter place then Interlaken. If you feel better closer to nature then busy big cities, then Spiez is a great place to stay.

It's a steep hill leading down to the ferry but there is a bus & a little blue train. There are restaurants around the harbour. I recommend the restaurant at the Riviera Hotel.
The ferry goes to Thun & Interlaken with stops along the way.
There was a children's play area by the harbour.
It was a dream trip and stay at Spiez and this fabulous hotel. It was just by the lake and had a partial view the lake. Having breakfast by the lake side was a really nice experience. There was a coffee set in the shared lobby place. And an electric lifting chair was available for people with motion disabilities go up and down the stairs. The staff were nice and wanted to help. I do recommend swimming in the lake. We really enjoyed our stay there.
Perfect location on the Spiez bay. Few minutes walk from the castle, the dock, the playground and the minigolf. Apartment is beautifully decorated by the host.
