Sils is a great place for walkers, bikers, mountain bikers...
Sils is a great place for walkers, bikers, mountain bikers and skiers. And it even has a lot to offer for people unable to do any sport or just not so fit. There's a lot for children to do, too. Maybe even more could be done to make it even more family friendly. Some of the hotels and most of the holiday homes seem to offer a whole lot.
The hotel was very conveniently located within walking distance from the bus stop (3 minutes) and both lakes (15-20 minutes). The rooms were modern, clean, spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and included use of the coffee machine, teas, juices, milk (including plant-based), a selection of breads and spreads, cold cuts, cheeses, hard boiled eggs, cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit, and chocolate brownies. Dinner at the restaurant was also delicious with several local specialties and a few vegetarian options.
The hotel is located in the middle of a reserved park, which for those looking to do trekking is great, for people looking to ski and get to know the area plus have dinner outside the hotel this is not the place. It is in the middle of nowhere with very limited access.
The hotel staff was truly nice, you could see they wanted to please the clients and were willing to help if needed. From the boss to the shuttle driver they were all very candid and warm. Something to be appreciated.
location is great - close to town and the supermarket, just around the corner from the ski rental and free bus to the cable car at Corvatsch or the public bus to Corviglia. Lots of langlauf trails nearby too. highly recommend taking a horse drawn coach up to one of the restaurants in Val Fex for dinner. a highlight of our trip.

Comfort and charm. Hotel Post Sils-Maria is managed with its sister property Hotel Edelweiss. Pine decorated rooms, warm staff, and delicious meals set right in the middle of quaint Sils-Maria made this a wonderful stay.
