One of the most beautiful places in Switzerland, that is not very much known to international travelers, which means cable car prices here are way cheaper than for example Mont Pilatus. It has everything, the lakes, majestic mountain peaks, secluded Seelisberg See, the historical background. The shape of Vierwaldstättersee makes it looking like a fjord from above. I truly adore this area and I think it's highly underrated.

Perfect place!
Perfect place! It´s a very calm place and you will experience the real contact with the nature. In this region, you will have a lot of places to visit, or just to take a seat and enjoy the view of the lake.

Very clean and tidy, had all the essentials we needed and was really pleased that a Swiss plug adapter had been left for us to use as I did not realise that I would need one which was different to the other countries in Europe that I have visited. We had originally booked for the hotel next door which was much more expensive and did not have 24 hr check in and because our flight was very late and delayed, I’m really pleased we changed. Beautiful scenery.
Its a nice hotel which is close to the cable cart to takr you to the ferry to lucerne. The ferry is a great way to go to lucerne. The owner welcomed us and showed us around, he gave some good tips of what to do. Every day we had new swiss chocolate and some salty bites. There is free parking. The breakfast was ok, different mini breadrolls, cheese and cold meat. Coffee and tea was free flowing.
Beautiful nature, we hiked near the hotel and saw a small family of deer. The hotel is decent but clearly old. The room was very hot. Breakfast was very basic.
