Unfortunately did our baby not like the warmth and did not sleep well (no airconditioning), but for this we cannot blame the hotel. I think it was the warmest period of this summer.

You need to know Italian to feel good overthere. Some Italian restaurants are great. Expensive as everywhere in Switzerland, but no so as in Zurich or Geneve. Old town is nice. you may see everything within a day.

I mostly stayed in my room so I can't speak much about the city. Everyone I met was friendly and helpful despite my lack of Italian fluency. Reminds me of many small cities around the world, the places where the residents are personal. One of the greater joys of travel.
The drive up to the hotel was challenging and exciting. The staff was very nice and waited up for us to check in at 9:15pm. Everything is very clean. Breakfast was also good, typical European continental breakfast but generous portion. 10-minute walk to train station for a nice view of the lake.

Location is very conveniant, just across the Mendrisio train station. My room was nice and spacious. Staff helped well for all my questions. There is a pizzeria just at the entrance.
