Old charming building in the middle of the ski slopes. Ideal for those who love winter sport. We had a lovely vintage (with history) room with everything we needed. Very pleasant and friendly service, good breakfast. The hotel has restaurant with good cuisine. A bit expensive, yes, but they offer a good discount if you stay 3 night at least.

Maloja is a very nice and beautiful spot near the Malojapass to Chiavenna and Italy. From Malaga, you can easily enjoy hikes, walks, especially during winter time, slopes are in walking distance, and it is very quiet if booked a room at sea side

I asked for a family room for 5 nights, however.
I asked for a family room for 5 nights, however.
- The room I received was not aligned at all with the pictures available in Booking for a family room: In the family room pictures, the living room was very wide and the bedroom was regular, however I got a family room with a small living room and a very big bedroom, exactly the opposite to my needs. I received the offer to change the room after one night, however, when I asked for the change, the person in reception told me that he had not been informed.
- We booked a family room with 2 single beds and a double sofa-bed, however the room had 1 double bed & 1 double sofa-bed.
- I booked for 4 people, however the room had only 2 bath towels and 3 blankets, I received the pending stuff in my 3rd day, only after complaining by email and in the reception several times.
- Wi-Fi very poor.
Summarizing, a poor experience with a very low value for money.

Maloja is a tiny village, with nice surroundings.
Maloja is a tiny village, with nice surroundings. It has some cross-country tracks. But by bus you can reach further tracks and slopes in Sils or St. Moritz.
If you like you can reach Chiavenna(Italy) by bus or car.

Maloja is a place for those who love peace and tranquility...
Maloja is a place for those who love peace and tranquility surrounded by nature. The scenery is stupendous, the area is very upmarket - not a spade and bucket but for those who have a mature outlook to conservation, healthy living such as hikes in the mountains and have the finance to enjoy it!
The location was great to visit Engadin, just few minutes by car to Silvaplana and St. Moritz. The building was great, with very charmful spaces like a large hall and decorated stairs. The apartment was comfortable with a nice view on the mountains. The bedroom was great, the kitchen well equipped and the bathroom had all needed services. The hotel staff was kind and helpful with our needs. There was a ski deposit and a free parking for the hotel guests.
The hotel is divided into 2 areas, one renewed and one older. Relation quality/price is very interesting for the reformed part. Services are very basic but again, considering price, it is a place to stay for a weekend or if you need to break a long trip. Much cheaper compared to the rest of Engadin, this is why you cannot expect to be in a fully serviced hotel. The soul of the location is about having one place where to sleep.
Modernized old style hotel with understated charm and lovely staff. Nothing pretentious about it, as often encountered in the area, yet very comfortable with a hint of old world luxury. You can't beat the value for a family stay in the area. Winter scenery surrounding the hotel is out of this world, and there is a lovely restaurant within walking distance.
A wonderful little hotel located in a magical and hidden place with breathtaking views. A true gem for people seeking solitude in a very quiet place. The staff was exceptionally friendly and made sure that our stay will be as pleasant as possible. The restaurant offers delicious home cooked meals. All in all, a wonderful experience, highly recommended!

A lovely place to stay really close to Maloja Pass & St Moritz. Fantastic restaurant onsite and the owner is really hospitable. The room and shared bathroom are simple, but all that you need - spotlessly clean too. The view was also amazing - to wake up to a beautiful frozen lake and snowy mountain was priceless. Would highly recommend!
Location and simple room enabled me to go out and train twice a day on the cross country ski circuit. Nice basic restaurant downstairs and approx 50m along the road was the 4 star hotel at which I first had to check in a collect the room key. This afforded more eating options with 4 star food.
The hotel is very well-kept, simple style, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was nice as well. The staff is also reactive and the management very client focused (they made a mistake for breakfast, and they proposed to reimburse us for the breakfast). The food in the restaurant was great too.
very comfortable hotel
sometimes feels like you stay at a museum )
very friendly staff
i forget my jeans and they send them by mail to Basel
best place for engadin ski marathon- you can walk for start point just in 10 minutes
The location is very nice, it is far from the buzz of St Moritz, but not too far, so it is perfect for a good rest and a quiet time. The hotel is comfy and beautiful. The terrace has a wonderful view for the lake.
Really friendly staff. The room had amazing views for the mountains and the valley. Great breakfast with quality food. The hotel has a lovely decoration, and an interesting history that is visible walking around.
Really comfortable and nice modern hotel.
Breakfast was good
Location not too bad from St Moritz, around 15min by car, which is ok for dinner in the village.
