As I arrived room was not clean, bed has hole on the sheets,Balkon was full of cigarette and broken glasses till the last day…in wardrobe was empty,nothing to hang closes,no Duschgel,nothing to wash hands,called responsible person but nothing happened.

On arrival we were told that we were being given a free upgrade to a larger room, which turned out to be a suite with a great view of Mount Pilatus. It was a really interesting old building, which had been modernised in a very sympathetic and tasteful way. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The location was convenient for various bus routes.
Hotel De la Paix is located in the heart of Lucerne, near the lion monument, at the entrance of the old quarter and 200 metres from the famous Vierwaldstätter lake.

The hotel was located close to the bus stop,to the supermarket Coop,to all the boutiques, to the pier for a boat tour. Wifi was working good.
Breakfast was very good, lots of options. The breakfast area was big and very clean.
The elevator was slow but functionable.
The TV was working with a lot of channels.
They changed the towels daily.

We were travelling by car, and wanted to be somewhere near Lucerne where we planned to have supper.
Huobschur is in the most beautiful setting. Natural paradise with clean air, exquisite views, beautiful bird sound, delightful donkeys and goats. And an extremely gracious, kind and accommodating host and his small team.
A total refreshment for our tired travelling spirits!
We loved the wooden cabin, simply and beautifully furnished with wooden furniture. Beautiful spacious room, very comfortable bed and great shower.
The breakfast was exceptional with homemade bread, delicious locally produced fruit yoghurt and muesli, delicious meat and cheese and lovely fresh fruit.
All great value for money. What a gem!
Sadly, we only had one night there. We will return as soon as we can. ❤️
