We had a fantastic stay! Such a beautiful little place, right on the water with fantastic outdoor and indoor commonspaces. Our room was great, clean and comfortable. Staff were so nice and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. Breakfast was delicious

At first sight it looks a little dated but in reality it’s a great hotel with lots to offer. Amazing views over the lake, good connections to Interlaken and a great breakfast. The room was a good size with good facilities and a lovely balcony
Fairytale, romantic hotel. Everything was fabulous including the food. The staff were wonderful. Everywhere you look is a feast for the senses, the views, the architecture, the art on the walls, the lake, the waterfall, the little funicular train traveling up and down the mountain, the ships on the lake... wow. The hotel atmosphere is relaxed and we were made to feel very much at home.
We so loved staying at the Grandhotel Giessbach. It was truly outstanding in every way. The location above beautiful Lake Brienz is stunning. The old funicular down to the lake is a must. Not to mention observing the fast and full flowing waterfall. The rooms were large and delightfully furnished for the bygone era. As were the public sitting rooms. The restaurant was excellent. We only wish we could have stayed longer. It is a very popular location - book early and plan a minimum of a 2 night stay.
I am delighted with this hotel, its atmosphere and quality of service. The perfect place to celebrate a birthday. Special thanks to the Chef for the mini birthday cake :-)
We had a beautiful room in one of towers with the view both to the Lake Brienz and Giesbachfall. Bathroom was impressive as well.
Coffee, tea, jus and water at your disposal at the third floor. I was really pleased with the requirement of an appropriate outfit in the hotel restaurant. Not very common these days.
other than the location of this property, there is nothing great about stay at this hotel. they are just charging high for the location. otherwise they have the poorest of services. They don’t even provide a kettle and tea/coffee amenities in the room. so forget about having a hot sip of coffee in bed, if you like to do so or to have hot water.
I like this hotel. The view with Lake was perfect. Very comfortable bed. Good stay. You can short hiking, enjoy the view and environment. They have connection straight to lake. Good breakfast. Everything was good.
