Kartause Ittingen is a truly special place.
The old monastery site has a cluster of beautiful buildings, lovely grounds and is perched high on the valley side such that there are fantastic views all day long. I walked up the steep hillside vineyards one morning and it was magical.
The breakfast and evening meals were healthy, with lots of variety and high quality.
The room was minimalistic, with clean lines, gorgeous furnishings and beautiful materials (lots of natural wood).
Also loved that they had a book on steps to reduce your environmental footprint in each room. Hats off, Kartause Ittingen!
Located 7 km from the centre of Winterthur, next to the medieval Mörsburg Castle, Gasthaus Schlosshalde offers a restaurant, a garden and a sun terrace.

A lovely surprise indeed. The castle and the restaurant was a pleasant surprise but we couldn't enjoy as we were staying for the night. We will hopefully have the chance to stay overnight and enjoy the restaurant and the wine testing.
Centrally located, the Hotel Blumenstein Self-Check In is an ideal meeting point. The comfortable guest rooms are equally well liked by business travellers and leisure travellers.

Just needed a one night stay, apartment was more than adequate. Lumi was easy to communicate with. The room was very spacious and there were places to eat locally. Car Parking available onsite and Wi-Fi worked well. Easy access to main road. Good value for money compared to other places.
