Exceptionally good hotel with the best location you can ask for. On-site facilities were great with a restaurant and bar, and lounging area outside. Rooms beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, and good noise insulation which is importing for a large and lively hotel. I liked the old town, with cobblestone streets. I visited a lot of the typical tourist places like the clock and Bern’s Bears. I’d recommended taking a walk along the river and travelling to any high points to look over the town. The transport system is amazing and the hostel I stayed in gave me a transport code so I could use it freely.
I woke up early so got to see a lot of the town before others but by about 11am it was rammed everywhere and some tourists could be quite rude.

We did a wonderful walking tour with an excellent guide which gave us a great overview of the city. We highly recommend taking a walking tour.
We loved everything about the Old Town. It was raining some of the time we were there and the beautiful arcades kept us dry.
We were lucky to be there when they had the light show on the Parliament Building which was magical. Hotel Akomo Bern was a very short walk to the Parliament Building.
We had dinner in two excellent restaurants - one Italian and one Swiss.

Bern is such a lovely city, especially the older part.
Bern is such a lovely city, especially the older part. The older streets with the arcades are amazing to wander about. Free public transport is such a good idea and allows you to explore further, such as Gurten, which is a really nice area to go for a walk. The walk along the Aare River is also lovely and can be done at any time of the year. There is a brilliant mix of city life and nature. Plus the Swiss chocolate is always good.

Also, in summer time, don't forget to swim in the Aare river (strong current can hold/push you). Go to Marzili Platz to enjoy it.

Excellent place to ride a bike or take a walk. If you prefer public transportation look no further:) Bern, and Switzerland in general has excellent railway system.
Many things to do in the summer (I recommend floating down the river Aare).
In Winter if you are fond of skiing Canton of Bern offers many ski resorts in Swiss alps.
The pillow menu was really a plus! The receptionist really went of his way. My friend broke a glass, then needed some ice for her swollen leg and wanted a coke. Poor guy! He was really helpful.
This hotel is a bit pricey for what it was but oh well it's Switzerland and it's a hotel right across the train station which was super convenient. We had missed our flight from Zurich to go to Lausanne so decided to stop in Bern to be closer for the morning after.
They upgraded me to the top floor and with a view of the alps. I have lived in Switzerland nearly 20 years, but have never seen such an amazing view.
Staff were helpful and very professional. The best of swiss hospitality.

I did not eat breakfast, but I would return, because it looked amazing.
Our pet was welcomed in the room, it was small but with a playful design that allowed us to be comfortable. We had a room in the last floor and the views were great, we had a horse training facility right in front of us. We could park our car for free and were given free passes for the tram. The price was very fair considering it is Switzerland.
The owners, Sonya and Stefan, are incredibly nice people. We felt completely at home in Wild Rose. We would return again if in the area of Bern. The breakfast was a choice of many things and most sufficient. Highly recommend this B&B you too will feel at home and you can learn things about the capital of Switzerland.
Hotel Savoy is in an excellent location - in Bern Old Town and literally 3 min walk from the Hauptbahnhof. Lots of restaurants, bars and shops are in a short walking distance. Rooms are freshly refurbished, very clean with comfortable beds. Breakfast selection is fairly standard, but sufficient and good quality.
The location is perfect. Just steps away from the train station and also there is a public transport stop just outside the hotel. This was crucial for me choosing this hotel. It was wonderful since with my hotel confirmation number I enjoyed of free transportation during my entire stay in Bern!
I really appreciated that the "Bern Ticket" is included in accomodation. Because it offers free public transportation and also free ride on the Gürtenbahn, it made my total expenses in Bern very passable for Switzerland. The location is also very good.
The location was excellent, very central in Bern. The price was great for the location as well. The overall feel of the hotel was that it was a bit spartan, but clean and the staff was great. For the price, we thought it was a great deal.
Location was perfect for a wellness weekend. Direct access to Bernaqua what is definitely a bonus. Quiet location, access to shopping center, bars,restaurants. Even if you want to go to downtown you can take the tram front of the hotel.
