- The culinary experience surpassed our expectations with a sumptuous breakfast buffet and an excellent dinner at „The Japanese“, although prices are definitely rather high. „The Restaurant“ offers a wide variety of à la carte options, with decent food as well.
- We definitely liked the seamless fusion of Asian and Swiss aesthetics with exquisite furniture and captivating artworks
- Service / staff was attentive and friendly
- Spa is in my opinion large enough and offers a large indoor pool and a smaller outdoor pool in the upper section. The lower part of the spa area features saunas, steam baths and hot tubs with different temperatures

This was an excellent penthouse apartment. Our host was very friendly and carried our bags up to the apartment. Being at 1440m up, we had perfect views of the snowy mountains from our balcony. It was extremely clean and lots of extra luxury items were provided. We also had a mini bar and snacks in the room. My dog was given a bed and some bowls, and we were allowed a flexible check out time. Will definitely be returning.

The location was superb, right at a lift in the heart of the ski resort with easy access by train. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the specific room I had was suitable for a couple and was clean, even with slippers provided. The bed was fine. The breakfast was fully sufficient.

The hotel is well located in the village close to the railway station. The parking is just outside the hotel and there is plenty of space parking.
The staff is very service minded and friendly.
The hotel breakfast was good but missing the scrambled eggs were not available each day.

Andermatt is a cosy little ski town that is far from the party vibe of somewhere like Verbier. The benefit of that is it's not as busy and the prices are a little more "affordable" shall we say (keeping in mind it's still Switzerland!). While it feels much smaller its very easy to get to by train - the journey there is breathtaking! The little train that takes you directly from mid-mountain to the other resorts close by is brilliant as well. Only thing missing might be a bit more of an après-scene on the mountain I would say (if you're into that). Also should be noted they are building a huge new village next to the old village which will be awesome when it's complete. But until that point there are a few cranes and some drilling noises that may bother some people (didn't bother us!).

For the two days I was there, I loved Andermatt.
For the two days I was there, I loved Andermatt. It has a spectacular setting amongst stunning mountain scenery. I stayed in a lovely guesthouse (Zum Sternen) in the picturesque village centre with a beautiful Chapel just above the square and typical mountain river flowing nearby. Full of colour with local and Swiss national flags flying, and beautiful wooden buildings. I will definitely come again...and again.....

Andermatt is a beautiful little town with all the amenities you really need. A well-stocked grocery store and numerous shops, easy train and bus access, a free ski shuttle, rental shops for outdoor gear, hiking and biking trails galore, and spectacular mountain views. Everything seemed to be a 15-minute walk from everywhere, which was very convenient; plus making use of the free shuttle simplified walking times (bus drivers were very friendly and willing to stop and ask if we needed a ride). Everyone spoke English well, which simplified our travel experience. Switzerland is very expensive, and Andermatt is no exception; consider checking menu prices before committing to a week spent dining in restaurants (we had an apartment and cooked more than we dined out). We did have some spectacular traditional fondue at Hotel Sonne’s restaurant (in the downtown), which was a delight.

Andermatt is located in the very core of the Lepontine Alps, close to many passes and breathtaking mountain views. Either in Summer of winter, the town is plagued with amenities, activities and excursion courses. Restaurants and ok and always enjoying the Swiss traditional class. Swiss is expensive, but the trip worths every Franc. I will return thousand times. Switzerland is the only country where anyone may feel at home once you arrive.
We were heading towards Chur and Via Michelin did not tell us that the A19 Andermatt to Chur is always closed in the winter. We were stuck in Andermatt and checked in to this hotel. They were great, we had an excellent meal and continued our journey the next day. On our way back we stayed there again and had an even better meal. Staff were friendly, beds comfortable, dog welcomed. What more can I say. Yes if we are ever going that way again we would happily stay there
The location is great. Right in the center. You can walk around the town and walk to the ski lifts too.
We could chose from 2 rooms and our room was very nice with a balcony where you can have a drink.
Parking is easy and we could leave the car there on the second day without any issues.
We ate at the hotel restaurant and found it perfect.
Lovely traditional cosy chalet-type hotel right in the heart of town. Excellent showers and warm rooms. Both ski lifts were walkable and also served by a bus that stopped right outside the hotel. The owner and staff couldn't have been more helpful and the cosy restaurant was perfect for nights when all you wanted to do was wander downstairs for a meal.
The hotel was great and welcome was generous. Rooms were not en-suit which we had known about so that ws fine, but they were clean and tidy and the beds comfy. Breakfast was fine and the Hotel offered to help us to park our motorcycles indoors which was kind of them.
Nice little older hotel with a beautiful view of the valley on the edge of town. Very friendly owner, who seemed to be doing everything herself. Excellent breakfast. Comfy room. Incredible roof terrace with a view - nice for a sit in the evening.
This hotel is old fashioned in a rather charming way. The interior has many features that harken back to an earlier time. Our room was fine with comfortable beds and a newly renovated bathroom. The location in downtown Andermatt was wonderful.
The Chedi is a wonderful experience from the moment you arrive. The hotel interior design is beautiful, the room was stunning and very comfortable, the staff were so helpful. The spa was a delight and the Japanese restaurant exceptional.
Breakfast was super - owner was always around at breakfast time to assist with any queries. Excellent hotel for cyclists, safe room to store your bike and all of the great passes can be cycled from the hotel door.
Great location in the heart of the village with lovely views and the relaxing sound of cowbells on the slopes.
The hotel was a traditional, ski-chalet type - clean, functional and the host was very welcoming.
Boutique size hotel in idyllic Andermatt - the new owner studied at the famous hotel school in Lausanne and you can feel that highest standards of hospitality are applied . The restaurant is excellent.
The location was beautiful and quiet, the personnel at the hotel were really pleasant and helpful. The meal provided in the evening was simple but good.
