Elite Hotel "Downtown Center" " Ski & Northern light Tour", hotel in Whitehorse

A restaurant and bar are featured at this Whitehorse city centre hotel. A microwave and fridge are provided in all guest rooms. Elevators are available in all levels. Free WiFi is included.

The hotel was amazing. There was a parking lot right out the back door. The room was exceptionally big with every thing you need. The beds were comfortable. The sitting area was big with comfortable chairs. The fridge was larger than most hotel fridges. The microwave worked well as did the coffee machine. There was a kettle, but we didn't use it. The internet was good. The bathroom was large and the shower had good pressure. The hotel even left a couple snacks for us.

Quality Inn & Suites, hotel in Whitehorse

Situated in Whitehorse, Quality Inn & Suites is set just 5 km from Erik Nielsen Whitehorse International Airport.

The biggest trouble we had was with the shuttle. After getting off the plane from Dawson and it being rough, we all had To use the washroom. We came out and our shuttle to the hotel was gone. We phoned the hotel and they said it was finished for the day. We asked if a taxi would be rebutted and the night clerk who was not veryfriendly said no so we paid 24 dollars to get to the hotel. Yet when I had phoned a few days before arriving, I was told the shuttle was included.

Very clean town, but all the limited accommodation very, very expensive. Not enough restaurants and very expensive. We used the Subway restaurants quite often, although expensive. Not friendly locals.

Whitehorse was great, but the Town and Country Motel was not. No elevator, no air conditioning which was on the description that they had AC. The motel was old and dirty looking and dingy. The clientele coming there to buy booze over the lobby counter was less than reputable. I give it 1/2 a star, just for having a door on the room.

Not a tourist stop in early May.

Not a tourist stop in early May. The best WiFi was at the A&W. Difficult to find laundromat. I was unable to do my laundry there, took it to Skagway, AK. They have a really great Visitor's Center. Very helpful people in the Visitor's center. Just not much to do when historical or famous places are closed.

The McBride Museum is worth a visit.

The McBride Museum is worth a visit. Very interesting displays about the history of the Yukon. Be sure to have lots of time to take it all in. Downtown is delightful, with a lovely plaza and sitting area along the river. Lots of nice little restaurants to suit every palate and budget too. Miles Canyon is a few minutes south of town and worth a visit as well. Take a short or long hike there. It's beautiful! Other places I've visited that are worth visiting: Yukon Wildlife Preserve, Eclipse Spa and Hotspring (book online and it's cheaper), Yukon Beringia Centre, Yukon Transportation Museum. If you fly to Whitehorse, try to book on Air North. It's much better than Westjet and Air Canada, and they actually give you a meal with a WARM chocolate chip cookie!

We stayed here twice, once at the start of our journey (see our prior review), and again 8-9 days later at the end. We rated this facility highly after the first stay, and it did not disappoint the second time - the perfect way to end our vacation in the North Country. The host Yong is attentive to details, helpful, and efficient. The room is modern, fully equipped with everything you might need, and in a good location, in easy walking distance to downtown Whitehorse. An excellent choice if you ever visit this part of the world.

We travel yearly for Dustball Slo Pitch Tournament. We have stayed at Yukon Inn most years for more than 2 decades. The restaurant has good food. My favorite is Eggs Benedict Blackstone. The front desk and other employees are all wonderful. The property is very rundown these past few years and in need of upgrades. It's such a great location to all downtown shopping and restaurants that we hope it gets some rehab soon. We probably won't stay there unless some work is done.

It was clean and comfortable, giving me the feeling of being right at home! I've stayed at various condominiums before, but this was the first time I encountered a place that was so immaculate and well-maintained. The interior was modern and had a soothing, toned-down atmosphere, allowing me to truly relax. I highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Whitehorse.

The hotel location is good, being downtown and close to the Yukon River pathway. The hotel is a bit dated. It is not an "elite" facility, despite its name. Our room with two beds was large. The beds are reasonably comfortable and the rooms are generally clean (notwithstanding finding several pieces of dog kibble on the floor and some plastic food containers under the bed).

This hotel is located downtown and was right beside the conference that I was attending. Staff were helpful and always present at the front desk. I was able to check in at 11:30 PM and check out at 6 AM with no problems. Staff were fairly knowledgeable about the city.
