Comfort Inn & Suites, hotel in Valemount

Situated in Valemount, 700 metres from George Hicks Regional Park, Comfort Inn & Suites features accommodation with a fitness centre, free private parking and a shared lounge.

We stayed here because we were bumped from the two nights we were supposed to spend in Jasper due to the wildfire. The hotel was a typical chain hotel but was clean and functional. The included breakfast was actually very good. There is a pool and a gym available. It is about half our drive from Mt Robson Provincial Park which was a pleasant bonus discovery for us, not being able to stay in Jasper. A few restaurants withina 10 minute walk.

Lovely setting in the restaurant. Staff welcoming. We have been in several hotels on our trip, and were so grateful to have staff who could SPEAK ENGLISH properly. Many of these are on some kind of temp foreign hospitality worker program, but you must have hired the cream of the crop. So hard to believe that there are no Canadians who can/will work in hotels.

Conveniently located off Highway 5, this Valemount hotel provides breakfast and free Wi-Fi. A refrigerator and a microwave are included in all guest rooms. Mount Robson is 36 km away.

Us pensioned, retired folks were very happy with the price, large room, and the breakfast. The huge head-bed scenic black & white photographs were beautiful. Parking and check-in was easy. The breakfast room was cosy and breakfast adequate. We were pleased to see this hotel had a bathtub. We liked the big mirrors.

Absolutely amazing! This cabin is a true gem nestled in a picturesque location. The cozy fireplace made for perfect evenings, and the view from the windows was simply breathtaking. The cabin was thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed, making our stay incredibly comfortable. We also appreciated the friendly welcome from the hosts, which added a special touch to our experience. If you're looking for a peaceful and scenic getaway, look no further! We only wish we had booked more days to fully enjoy this wonderful place. One tip: don't rely on navigating through the woods – follow the main roads for a smoother arrival!

The restaurants were highly disappointing as most weren’t open at all until the weekend. We were there early in the week and the only 2 that looked good were closed. We struggled with finding anything that was edible for us and most things close very early.

Friendly host, and functional sleeping courters.

Friendly host, and functional sleeping courters. After checking in, I discovered that the public aquatics and gym were non functioning. Also my room had a shower, and no tub. Which was only an issue for me because I was not allowed to use the hot tub. Also, no usb outlets. This room has baseboard heating and an AC unit. Most restaurants were closed quite early, except for fast/fake food restaurats. But, that had nothing to do with the Inn. And lastly the information that the host gave me on on the region was nice. As well, as travel advice.

Weather was beautiful, town is clean and well cared for.

Weather was beautiful, town is clean and well cared for. Some shops were not open which is very disappointing. Others have limited days of the week or hours which make it difficult to spend time downtown. Great views of mountains and mountain bike park was impressive. Several great outings within half hour of town. Specifically Mt Robson which is spectacular.

The local museum was VERY informative, wonderful exhibits of railway times. Information about the Japanese internment camps was quite enlightening, we had no idea that they existed in this area, and the history of the Canoe River train disaster was truly revealing. We took a stroll along part of the Cranberry Marsh - beautiful view from atop the observation tower.

The room was clean, the beds were comfortable with great bedding. If you want to eat in Valemount, go to the Caribou Grill. The food and service is top notch, great! Love it :) I would stay at the inn again if I was just driving through.

I stop in Valemount once every couple of years as it is the only location with accomodation between Vancouver and Edmonton. Don.t care for it as it is overpriced knowing that people have little choice. Little choice in restaurants and gas is higher than anywhere else on the route.

Large room, huge comfortable bed, useful fridge in room, friendly, helpful staff and a surprisingly varied breakfast offering with hot and cold choices, plus a clever machine to make your own fresh pancakes. This hotel is sited far enough away from the highway and railroad which sandwich this small town that we didn't get disturbed by noise from either.
