Toronto is a wonderful city with lots of activities and easy to get around. Taxis and Uber are affordable and the subway and public transit is easy to use.
Toronto has a bit of a homeless problem, and many of the homeless seemed to have mental health or addiction issues, so although I felt safe, I did not walk around after dark, and took taxis instead of the subway at night.
There are lots of shopping opportunities and excellent restaurants, and a good city to explore during the summer days.

Everything on your doorstep, subway very easy to manage, people soooo friendly. One negative I wouldn't visit niagra falls again very tacky with high prices, train service the one in morning next service nine thirty at night, so really got ripped off 👍. Found a very nasty knife/blade at niagra train station. Younge street the best.

If you can solve the issue of accomodation and traffic then you can enjoy Toronto. More likely you would enjoy visiting a number of sites if you don't drive your own car, by taking public transport and having lots of time.

Overall, a pleasant stay.
Overall, a pleasant stay.
Way too much construction, however.
Local sites. such as the Hockey Hall of Fame, Rogers Center, Ripley's Aquarium, CN Tower & Art Gallery of Ontario all places well worth going to with most being in walking distance of each other.
The Bottom Line Restuarant was our Lunch time venue, service was great.
The 360 Restuarant at the CN Tower was our dinner venue. Such an amazing experience.
If you drive to the downtown & waterfront areas, be sure to add extra time as construction is everywhere.

At the beginning i was hesitate about Toronto City, I grow up in Ottawa and when to Toronto long time ago. Years later I came back to the city and believe me we (Canadians) don't have to envy anything to NY because this is much better.
Love it!!

I was intrigued by Hotel Ocho's fantastic location in Toronto's famous Chinatown and was not disappointed by the experience. Check-in was fast and efficient and hotel staff was a pleasure to stay with. This is a relatively small boutique hotel and the atmosphere is friendly, clean and modern. Comfy bed, excellent shower and a surprisingly quiet setting that almost made me forget I was in downtown Toronto. Walking distance to many great shops, restaurants, bike rentals and the TTC.
Very nice two bedroom apartment in downtown Toronto. Whole apartment for about the same price as a 2 queen bed hotel room. Easy walking distance to the CN Tower and Union Station. Lots of restaurant choices and things to do close by.
Coffee and tea provided which was a nice touch.. Kitchen with dishes and cookware provided if you want to make meals.
Check in and out very easy. The staff provided timely and detailed instructions for key pick up and for checkout.
It had an amazing breakfast, great location, and I was I love with our room. I have never stayed in a hotel in Toronto so I’m very glad this was my first one. I was looking for a hotel in the downtown district so I could walk everywhere and this was exactly what I needed. Check in took me like 1 minute which made getting there even better. Worth every dollar. p.s. the bed was so comfy.
This is an excellent hotel located in the heart of downtown Toronto. Close to public transportation, CN tower and other attractions. very comfortable bed, friendly staff and good amenities. Michael was extremely helpful when checking in going the extra mile to accommodate an early check in to a room with a view as I have requested during my booking. I would stay at this hotel again.
Location, location, location. Heart of downtown within walking distance to many restaurants, bars, attractions,. Subway and cable car right outside the door. Access to underground Toronto inside the lobby. Staff was very helpful. Though we never used the hotel bar, restaurant or coffee shop, they looked very nice and we're always crowded so I assume they were good.
The hotel staff were able to check us in a little earlier and we really appreciate the flexibility since we had to leave for downtown Toronto and wouldn't be back until midnight. The breakfast was conventional American type. I always love hotel breakfast and Holiday Inn doesn't disappoint. We're able to see the taxiway from our room, which is nice.
The room was great! The bed was very comfortable, especially the pillows. Staff were also so kind, welcoming and helpful. All in all, great service and fairly priced considering what you get and considering other pricing for hotels in the downtown Toronto area.
The hotel and its atmosphere is absolutely stunning and a whole experience in itself.
1-Complementary breakfast as well as 24-hours free coffee machine for the guests were rightfully the flagship for Best Western Plus Travel Hotel Toronto Airport which was a very pleasant surprise for me.
2-Location was very close to airport, allows the guest to plan well for there arrival and departure.
location is great - if you want to be in the middle of downtown Toronto. Given the recent politics / economy of Ontario, when night falls, the streets surrounding this hotel get crowded with homeless and transient people - who are harmless, but will certainly intend to engage you in conversation.
The location was good.
It's highly recommended for those people who were from far places of Canada and were just coming over Toronto to attend for their US visa interview at the US embassy.
The US embassy was just around the corner. It's 4 minutes walk from Rex Hotel.
The hotel was extremely beautiful and clean. Within walking distance of everything downtown Toronto has to offer. The staff were exceptional and every request we made was answered immediately. The employees go above and beyond to provide wonderful customer service.
Hotel staff, ease of parking in the garage, bed, tv channel selection, location. The location was also quiet which surprised me considering the noise that would come off a major Downtown Toronto street.
- Location, location, location. Heart of Downtown Toronto.
- Good price for location and quality, compared to other hotels in Downtown Toronto.
- Professional pre-check-in communication from staff.
Sonnesta is my 1st choice when we come to Toronto, we usually travell with our dog and he too likes the hotel., I honestly think it is the best hotel in downtown core value for money one.
Friendly staff, of a well situated hotel, just 3 metro stops away from Toronto downtown. It's located next to supermarkets and restaurants on Yonge street. Quiet, spacious rooms.
The hotel is the best location in uptown Toronto with quick access links downtown.
This hotel is my preferred when in Toronto they really make you feel at home.
