Didn't have breakfast as place so old and dark ate elsewhere . The building is dirty worn and rusty - flower pots were broken wood needed paint and repair. Comfort Inns that I have previously used were of excellent condition. Won't stay there again.

A walk about Blue Mountain.i used to live in Wasaga beach so it was lovely taking my husband to see my old neck of the woods.
Good location close to harbour,beach. The hotel has small pool. Very good restaurant within 5 minutes walk. We had good size studio with full kitchen and walkout door to the harbour and excellent view. The room was a bit outdated but functional and clean. Definitely will come back.

Just wanted to try a boutique motel, did not have any expectations, so it was a cute experience to stay at Penny’s. One can feel the owner took a lot of thinking into the design of the rooms and the surrounding sitting areas. For people staying there for ski trips and trail walks, it is a good location. Thornbury is a very nice and quiet town. Great breakfast places within walking distance.
Location and the view from the wide window in the living room is wonderful. The staff is super friendly and helpful, the suite is spacious and well equipped. The new AC/heating units in each room and surprisingly quiet. Despite of the hotel being almost full it is peaceful and quiet, as well as neighbourhood. Little park nearby at the shore. Great for families.
We had a great stay here at Penny’s Motel! although from the outside it looks like your typical motel, inside are great hotel-quality rooms with fresh and interesting renovations. I would even go as far as say that many hotel have worse rooms than this place.
Staff was also really helpful, for example provided us with a kettle upon request.
All of the aesthetic touches were wonderful! If you’re someone who likes taking cute photos, this place had lots of opportunities. Loved the fire pit, I imagine in the summer this would be a great way to meet people. I like the idea of the space creating a community like a hostel whereas traditional hotels don’t really have that.
I liked the location. View was great and the hotel was easy to find. Very quaint. I will for sure be back. Staff were friendly, room was well appointed and clean. It rained during my stay and I didn't get to fully enjoy outdoors when not working but look forward to doing so next time.
I have stayed here a few times when in town for work and the hotel manager remembered me and even took the time to leave me a personal welcome note and to leave me a bag of ice to stock my cooler for the next day before I left for work.
The location of the hotel is amazing. The kitchen has everything you might need, including the dishwasher detergent. Detail-oriented and organized. The staff was very, very helpful, whatever we needed.

It’s so charming and welcoming! Rooms are cozy and decor is modern and comfortable. The hotel patio is gorgeous and a great place to relax and gather with other guests.
Location was centrally located very close to the city, harbour and Thornbury Fish Ladder which we intended to visit. Suites were very large to accommodate our group.

I like this place, we stayed there numerous times. Hotel is a little dated, but clean and has all amenities, including fully equiped kitchen, pool and sauna.
Location was excellent by the harbour in Thornbury. Room was nicely laid out and had had all the key facilities including kitchen for a nice long stay.
