Clean and all bathroom necessities laid out neatly. Nice little kitchen and couch with coffee table. It was just myself, but would be a great room for 3 or 4 guests. Had a spare room as well. Everything functioned as expected.
The downtown area is really pretty, and very clean.

I didn't see any garbage at all even walking around.
There are a few unhoused people in the area , but many said Hi as we passed and where very nice.
The footbridge offers a beautiful view of the river , we loved it.

Quesnel is a picturesque, quaint, cozy little nest egg. I would have been happy to stay overnight there but the road conditions were not in my favour and I didn't want to mow down any deer in the dark...oh dear! I picked up my new puppy there and we walked around the little treasure of a downtown...stopped in and had the best coffee at the quaintest little jewel of a German coffee shop...mein deutsch ist nicht zehr gute...nor my memory but Quesnel was memorable for me! I wish I had caught the Remembrance Day ceremony but I kinda got lost in the charm. Sir Emersyn the 3rd misses his home town but we will visit again!

They advertised a free breakfast, but it did not actually have one. I was called at the last moment to tell me that. They blamed it on COVID, but I do not feel that excuse is justified. Everywhere else in BC, they have continued with the free breakfast programs.

We were visiting family that had recently moved to Quesnel so only stayed there 2 nights/one full day. Next time we will stay at least 2 - 3 days longer and take in the beautiful provincial parks that are close by (Pinnacle, Ten Mile Lake, etc.) and Barkerville. We would also enjoy more of the great eateries/brew pubs (this really is a foodie town) and shops we found while out walking our dog. Quesnel is a very "walkable" place, easy to get around and here are lots of points of interests/City parks within Quesnel that we did not have the opportunity to see/would definitely take in next time.

Quesnel comes with mixed feelings: the lodging can be expensive and the lack of restaurants on a Monday night a problem
The good thing is the museum , not to be missed at the tourism information center.

From Fort St.
From Fort St. John Quesnel was about 6 and a half hours drive. Long enough for one day. During a pandemic it is hard to figure out where it is safe to eat. Most restaurants are south of town. I will drive to one of them next time through Quesnel.
All your staff was very friendly & helpful. Your rates (as compared to other accomodations in Quesnel) are very reasonable. Your Hotel is very clean. We only had three meals in your restaraunt, but they were great. It appears you may hire Senior citizens? Not an insult at all, but great to see :) I'm a Senior myself! I will be back for another visit!
Staff were friendly that I dealt with. Room was super nice and clean. Just a perfect spot within Quesnel to stay, the location was great. Value was definitely on point! Will stay again, next time in Quesnel.
