There was no breakfast but a nice restaurant was nearby (Chef Basel) for all meals. The property is a very cute, private suite with a small kitchen for self-catering and a living room with comfy chairs for relaxation.

Peterborough has beautiful green spaces and lots of hiking trials. The University offers many cultural events open to the public (i.e. Powwow). Plus the campus is beautiful even in the winter months. Also, there are many shopping options and not far to Oshawa or Go Train to Toronto.

It has been many years since I’ve been to Peterborough and I was shocked at the degradation over large part of the downtown… Graffiti and lots of homeless with obvious signs of prolific drug use. In three days I was there I never saw a single police officer. I did not feel safe in the downtown. It’s no longer the beautiful city I remember and would never consider retiring there.

I all ready gave my big review, but one thing I noticed later was this star reward for each night you stay of which I Have lost out on as staff did not inform me about. The only negative to my trip. Also reviewing all the things to see and do which the area has plenty of. Was not a part of this trip. I live in peterborough and this stay was a birthday getaway.
Breakfast was very satisfying with good choices and varied daily. Real silverware! All staff were very polite and friendly and provided good tips for exploring the area. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable; a good place to hang out. Staff loaned us an umbrella for a walk in the light rain. Location is good - we walked from the hotel around Little Lake and back. Stopped at the Canadian Canoe Museum and the Art Gallery along the way.
Came for the Arkells concert which was the best concert I’ve ever been to. Hotel and staff were great. Peterborough itself was very sad to see. I grew up playing hockey tournaments around the area and it was sad to see what it is now after many years of having not been
I was on a trip to the Ottawa area and needed a place to stay for the night. And it had to be at a hotel that I was familiar with. This one had the right accommodations for my needs, and for that I’d give 5 stars.
