The room was comfortable and very clean. It was good value for money. The staff was friendly and while the location required a car it suited my purposes quite well.

I had emailed two months in advance of my stay that I required a gluten free option for the breakfast, however there was none on my first morning. I had to ask again at reception.

Enjoyed the downtown. What a picture worthy place. Love the old buildings and the shops were so cute and everyone was so nice. Have drove through on the way to Kingston but never explored the downtown. Loved it. Definitely a return trip is on the list.

Perth is a typical north American town it is has most of its original buildings and nice wide roads. All the people we came into contact with were extremely polite and friendly(like most Canadians). Perth is quite small and can be covered in a day or two but is well situated for Ottawa and other places of interest. It made an enjoyable base for our trip and I recommend a visit

There's not much to not like about Perth.
There's not much to not like about Perth. It has managed to keep its 'old world' charm but at the same time be very accommodating to every day life today. There are a number of restaurants and bars to help spend a relaxing evening, or just walk the friendly streets. A 'must' stop' as part of any visit to Eastern Ontario.
Greàt, beautiful preserved architecture, heritage bldgs(Town hall, Museum, Codes Mill shops lcomplex) ,storefronts on Gore street and nearby homes too on almost every down town street!!. beautiful Stewart Park with flowers, bridges and use of rock outcroppings for plantings and very majestic mature trees. Dry piled rock bridge on mill st. is a sight to behold ; as well as the dry piled rock fences next door. Lots good Gore st.restaurants , shops, patios ; ànd nearby cafes on the canal or overlooking the park or tay river. COFFEE from Coutts Coffee & Roastery Shop.(fresh custom ground or blended) is to die for! Checkout the Rapids on the Tay upstream above the dry Rock Bridge. We had excellent schnitzel at Maximillian's and great Mexican at Mex-E-Co overlooking the canal. Everything Is walkable in the historic downtown . Suggest parking in one of the town parking lots by the library or crystal palace. All the fast food spots are located up on the highway area.

Perth a a typical old Ontario Town with a great deal of heritage hidden away in older buildings.. The central part of the Town has many small shops to stroll through along with a variety of eating places to suite most anyone. If it is the more modern shopping / eating places you wish to visit they are only a short drive to the edge of Town. In addition to this there is a nice large park where you can stroll by the pleasant stream or sit and watch the clouds roll by. For the more energetic there are a variety of hiking trails to choose from
