The room was spacious with a balcony. Just wondering if you put out chair/chairs in the hot weather!? Breakfast choices were excellent and the location was good for us as we were visiting with friends.

One of favourite places in the world, as an multi and mixed media artist and photographer, fisher and hunter, in l;ove with wonder and wandering, campbell river and area have never failed me.
It seems to be having growing crime issues, and social issues are very evident in the streets. Generally people are quite friendly, happy to point you to the things you need and may want to see and do.
Thank you to the First Nation communities for the great teenagers raised who gave me some very succesful fishing tips. Respect or the aging is so appreciated.

They people are generally friendly.
They people are generally friendly. There are many places to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is also a cultural variety of dining options. Getting around the town can be tricky for a visitor, so GPS is a helpful tool. I suggest you avoid the hospital, it would put a damper on you vacation.

I love Campbell River mainly because our daughter and our granddaughter live there but also because it is a beautiful location and close to Quadra Island where we have spent many holidays at the First Nations campsite at Rebecca Spit.

Had a fantastic stay at Campbell River.
Had a fantastic stay at Campbell River. Our room was huge with a large balcony overlooking the sea. Beautiful timber ceiling. Loved watching whales, otters, geese and seagulls whilst we ate breakfast, sipped on drinks at the bar or over dinner. Beautiful property. So peaceful. Drove to Gold River. Amazing road with beautiful scenery. This is real wilderness. We just loved this area

Nice place for a staycation.
Nice place for a staycation. Went for a performance at the local theatre. Stayed one night. Easy to get lost, very spread out. But scenic, hills and lots of trees. Nice waterfront shopping area. Tried Potstickers, very tasty.

must admit have difficult time reach beach in quite a number of areas but a very lovely town to visit. the one evening had an excellent dinner at Moxies and the service was excellent. also had a really good fish and chip dinner across from the docks ( sorry can't remember name but if you ask around they come highly recommended!)
Any of the businesses (be clerks or owners) were so friendly and helpful. Most appreciated!
A real must is a visit to the museum found it was truly interesting due to the focus on Native art and history of Campbell River
Considering I had surgery in the morning at the CRH, this location is perfect. 5 minute drive to get to the hospital. We have stayed at this hotel every single time we come down. It’s our favourite. I loved the
Beach across the street and the view from our balcony of the ocean was stunning; what better way to wake up in the morning and see the sunrise over the water. I highly recommend this hotel and will continue to stay here any time I am in Campbell River. Absolutely love the staff members!
Fabulous room overlooking the water with a balcony, large size room with 2 comfortable double beds, small fridge in room. Fantastic sunrise from our room.
Hotel advised us before we arrived that a large party had booked so it might be noisy, moved us from the main hotel to one of the lodges, complementary breakfast included.
Great outside pool open until10pm. Booked a whale watching tour from the onsite tour operator, where lucky enough to see 4 different humpback whales.
lady in Reception (owner?) was great - clearly really loves Campbell River area, gave recommendations for nearby locations, places to eat, visiting Strathcona Park, salmon hatchery etc - all of which were as good as she said, really made our stay.
Rooms (our was on groundfloor, one of the cheaper ones) are basic but very clean and comfortable, view across the strait (esp when misty) was memorable
We got a lovely welcome text from the property while we were on our way up Island; the cabin was super clean and cozy. Bed was comfortable, all the necessities in the kitchen and nice little touches too by the owners. Right across the road from the beach and convenient location to everything in Campbell River. I would definitely stay again!
Chateau Riverside is located in a perfect site in Campbell River. Close to highways, the ocean, river, shopping, fishing and other activities. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen was well outfitted. We stayed in the two bedroom suite on the ground floor so had a nice patio overlooking the river. quiet at night.
Campbell River Lodge, as its name implies, has a river frontage, and the delightful setting allows viewing of the salmon, seals, herons, and other nature. The room is fine but very dark and could do with updating, but the location, staff, and surroundings are first-rate. At the price, it's very good.
The bed was clean and comfortable, the fridge did not work, there was no a/c unit and to have the single pane windows open was tough for security reasons. Parking is very tight. It is located minutes out side of Campbell River so was convenient. For the $$ I think it could fo with some updating .
It is an older hotel, but well maintained and updated, comfortable beds, clean, good services, has an elevator, parking is free an available outdoor and indoor, good complementary breakfast, nice location across the ocean where there is a long paved sidewalk along the shore.
I chose this hotel because of it's location close to the marina as we had booked a grizzly bear trip to Bute Inlet. Hotel was comfortable. Self help breakfast was very good. Excellent coffee shop nearby called Freyja, with great pastries.
Beautifully decorated room in a central location. Lorrie is a wonderful host who prepares a delicious breakfast. She gives helpful travel tips to make our stay in Campbell River even more enjoyable. Highly recommend. Thank you, Lorrie!
The hotel is an old fishing lodge. The location on the river is excellent for fishing. We saw other guests fishing in the river. It’s a quaint, old, sprawling, rustic building with log walls and ceiling.
Good central location on Highway 19 in Campbell River. View out window overlooked the River. Enjoyed a walk along the River bank. Room was clean, staff very friendly. Good value.
The hotel is nice and very well located. It is a bit tired and could use some updating. The facilities are nice. Breakfast was limited and a bit disappointing
The hotel is very clean inside clean inside with outside free parking space. Room is spacious and clean. Bed is firm and comfortable. Very happy with it.
