Charming city, so much to see and do. I love a bargain and there were bargains everywhere! Lots of great food and entertainment. People were very friendly and helpful.
You can Uber for almost nothing here, although don't expect air conditioning in most of the cars.
I highly recommend doing one of the boat cruises and anything you want to do you can get a better price online.
Ask around before you do things, there are so many hidden treasures and such amazing food!!
I love Cabo Frio and will definitely return!

Nice shops nearby lots places to eat very good food , good prices. My hotel was very good lovely staff. The town beach is beautiful however quite dirty sand wouldn't walk around without a good beach shoes. Lots of broken glass bottles. However the boat trips take u to some magnificent clean beaches like paradise worth to visit. Couldn't find a boat trip without loud music...I would prefer quietness. But it is super beautiful heaven.

The main atraction are the beaches.
The main atraction are the beaches. White sand, sunny days and very calm water. Another thing to do, almost a "must" is spending a couple of hours on board of a catamaran to see the city from a distance and enjoy the view of magnificent houses and yachts, not to mention the colour of the sea.

The beaches were great especially Peró beach open sea not so crowded and clean water. Great restaurants and bars. It’s good for a short stay especially after coming from Búzios. Great to go on tours and visit the islands and other beaches in the area. Also great for water activities like the banana ride and others.
My favourite place I have stayed during my trip to Brazil. This was a beautiful suite, recently refurbished with everything you need. Stephanie and Eduardo (and Luiza) made a tremendous effort to make me feel comfortable (despite the language barrier) and show me around Cabo Frio and Arrial do Cabo. I got to ride in a buggy, use their surfboards and try some Brazilian home cooking. I felt so welcome, and had the most magical time. I am so grateful for their hospitality, and I hope I can return one day to this special place 💚🙏 Valeu
The apartment was perfect for 2 couples: me and my partner, and my in-laws. 2 bathrooms with shower. Everything clean and tidy, the styling of the apartment was nice and modern with thought-out details.
Amazing location very close to the beach. It was not super close to the center of Cabo Frio, but we could walk in about 20-25 min or drive and park in the center.
There was also a supermarket, padaria, and restaurants closeby (walking distance).

Everything about the hotel is great. great location, great rooms, great bed and shower, awesome breakfast with delicious coffee and a variety of fresh bread and fruits. The staff is absolutely amazing, Márcio, Paulo and Rosana are so kind and always available to make the staying remarkable.

Wonderfully restored Brazilian colonial period house, which originally belonged to the Brazilian imperial family. Located in the Passagem bairro of Cabo Frio, the hotel is close to restaurants and cafes in this historic quarter. Very attentive and friendly english speaking staff. Lovely clean and well equiped room. Nice buffet breakfast.
The location is amazing. All the sites of Cabo Frio are only a short walk away. There is an amazing espetinho (kabobs or skewers) bar just down the road. It has cheap beer and great food! It is also within walking distance of a bakery and supermarket. The location can’t be beat!
Classy atmosphere with a good summer vibe, fancy decoration, great pool and good menu at the restaurant of the hotel! Excellent location as well, close to the beach and the port (easy to go to the Japanese Island). I really recommend this place.
Anna the owner was unfailingly cheery and helpful. Her family of pets were all adorable and helped make her place my new home in Cabo Frio. The hostel is well located equidistant from the beach, cozy old town Passagem and the stores of Centro.
The hotel had safe parking and very helpful staff. The on site restaurant is fantastic. It is a nice and quite location.
