It is a nice little city with lovely restaurants and great grocery stores. We found nice shops and fun places to have cocktails by the sea. Luciano's is right across the street from the sea and has wonderful gelato! We had amazing meals at Capriccio (which has a sea view), and C"est La Vie. Bon Tapa has delicious food and and really tasty fresh made sangria. Mona Lisa also served delicious food, but is quite pricey. We love El Pascado for a more budget friendly meal, and Rumba has really great pizza.
The shore diving in Bonaire is really great! We went with Dive Friends for tank rentals a they have multiple locations to pick up and drop off tanks. Some of our favorite dive sites this time were, Torre's reef, Red Slave, Tolo, and Pink beach. All of these also have good snorkeling.
It's definitely busier in town when the cruise ships are in , but they are mostly gone by 5pm. Also, there is a schedule of when and which dock they will arrive at in the local newspaper.

Nice town, always felt safe. Very friendly overall.
Nice town, always felt safe. Very friendly overall. Expensive, but this is to be expected on an island where everything is imported. Cruise ship "tourons" overwhelm downtown during the day when boats are in. Great eating options.

Everything in walking distsnce.
Everything in walking distsnce. We ate at the Trocadero and the Club Boulevard. Fantastic. The service at the Club B was outstanding. David the person serving our table is his weight in gold worth for every restaurant owner. The food fantastic. Also for me as vegetarian. Price vs quality very very good.

Bring your own wash clothes, I felt not fully cleaned.
Bring your own wash clothes, I felt not fully cleaned. You will need a taxi because there is nothing to do but beach in the area. The room 4 I was in was right by the lobby and it was noisy, at night they only serve pizza and it was not good. I would stay closer to the downtown area if I went again because you can walk and do things. The only good thing is if your looking to do nothing, this is the place to stay. My room was supposed to be a deluxe but it wasn't. It was like a dorm room. I couldn't open window because of bugs flying in.

Out of the three islands I found Bonaire the best bargain.
Out of the three islands I found Bonaire the best bargain. Arube is more for a pricy beach vacation, largely for americans. Curacao has a lof or dutch and british party crowd. I found there to be an unpleasant vibe from the locals. Most things are run down.
Bonaire, there is a pleasant vibe, great snorkling all around, and easier to get around by car or scooter.
Casa Mantana is an excellent place to stay: large rooms, comfortable beds, good AC, good shower with hot water, a nice small terrace, close to the centre of Kralendijk with shops and restaurants. Nice little extra's such as a small fridge (I stayed in a room, not a studio with kitchen), anti musquito rackets, honesty bar, library and optional breakfast. Mariët and Ton and excellent hosts. Pro tip: if you book with them directly, they sometimes offer a nice extra such as a free breakfast. Just send them an e-mail to enquire.
First of all Hospitality was 10/10. Delicious breakfast. Clean and spacey room and outside area. We first booked for only 3 nights but decided to extend. We end up staying 10 days! Location was also very good. Close to ‘te amo’ beach and on the way to windsurf and kitesurf beach. But not far from Kralendijk either. Enough chill spaces around the house to layback and chill after a day of swimming/hiking/diving or kiting.
the property is located very centrally, right in the middle of Kralendijk, in the heart of where all the "action" is. It's only a short walk to the seaboard and all other venues and restaurants in the area. The hotel itself is very accessible, beautiful, convenient, and remarkably clean. The staff is ready to help, and very pleasant. It was quiet when we stayed there and we enjoyed a good night's sleep.
The most difficult meal to arrange was breakfast as the hotel and surrounding restaurants don’t open until later . The best breakfast is offered by Between2buns which opens promptly at 0700 and is super clean with a wonderful breakfast menu. A 5 minute drive north from the hotel
Hotel is near many restaurants for dinner.
The combination of the awesome stunning location, the sense of privacy it offers, and the comfort of the rooms makes Boutique Hotel Wanapa a true hidden gem in Bonaire. This is not just a place to stay; it's a sanctuary where you can relax, unwind, and recharge in the most delightful way.
The location was perfect! Close to the airport, downtown, and restaurants! I love the cute boutique hotel; perfect for solo travelers. The extra perk was the scooter available for renting right on the property and the restaurant. And the host he is amazing!!!
This hotel used to be quaint and characterful, now it's a little old ant tired.
The main reason for people staying here is the scuba diving BUT the coral isn't that good (bleached and dead) and the standard of diver is sometimes very very poor.
My apartment was large and really clean, and was well-equipped. The owner is very friendly, and is a good communicator. It was very quiet at night. And just a 5 minute walk to the centre of Kralendijk. Everything was excellent.
This bed and breakfast run by a friendly family provides for a great stay on Bonaire. The room was comfortable. The breakfast was copious - you could get anything that is made with eggs, omelet, scrambled, sunny side up, you name it.
The magnificent beach is the best on the island; you leave your room and immediately snorkel as if in an aquarium. You don’t have to leave the hotel, everything is here, there are good restaurants, excursions directly from the hotel
Beautiful clean place. Carlos who runs the Bonairian is so kind very helpful and knowledgeable. The housekeeping staff was such a delight! Excellent snorkeling, right in front of your hotel, with easy access to the water
The best place 2 stay in Bonaire very clean and cozy and close 2 everything they take great care of you had everything laid out for me this property is the only place I will stay in Bonaire
Tariq was a very helpful host to us. Really did his best to accommodate our wishes.
The apartment itself is up to date, everything works, view is nice, location close to kralendijk.
The location was good. The place was nice and clean.
everything felt pretty new.
would definitely recommend someone. if going to bonaire.
it's value every dollar !
Exceptional hosts, immaculate property, and just an overall amazing location and experience. When I return to Bonaire this will be my first choice to stay.
