Great location in a quiet area, just round the corner from the main street. Staff were very friendly, rooms are spacious and comfortable. You have to pay for breakfast separately but it's very good value. Free coca tea and fruit were a great touch. Some rooms have views of the lake which are beautiful.

This was by far the best hotel I stayed in in Bolivia (but also most expensive). Amazing views, stylish decor and superb breakfast. The room was very spacious and in good location. Friendly staff. Would definitely stay again.

We were greeted with the friendliest staff. They quickly upgraded us to the third story of the beautiful waterfront property so our views perfect water views.
One night we needed to stay in and with our limited Spanish then host was happy to order us food to our hotel for dinner.
The bed was huge and very comfortable
The next morning we woke up to a beautiful generous breakfast spread all for us also with waterfront views.
The hotel was a short walk out of town along the water but worth it for the peaceful views
José was amazing
And the alpacas were a fun addition

This is an amazing Hostal. Thank you to Kevin and the team for making us feel so welcome and helping with everything we needed. The rooms are so cool and all have sensational views of the lake. Super comfy beds. Super hot shower. And the breakfast was the best we had in South America. Don't hesitate to stay here! You won't regret it

Very central location, the bus from Puno drops you right in front of the hotel door!
Comfy and clean room
Staff are very friendly and were able to book our boat out to Isla del Sol for us for a very good price (cheaper than the stores selling them in the square)
Breakfast was excellent, best we have had in Bolivia! Everything was very fresh- well cooked eggs, variety of fruit, pastries, bread.
WiFi is good
Would definitely recommend staying here

The town is a good stop between La Paz and Peru but is nice enough itself with good access to walks and Isla del Sol etc.
Really worth visiting the various Inca sites in town and around, including Inca Baths just outside, with its little museum and mummified body.
If you stay on Isla del Sol beware the slope up from Yumani harbour to the town, it is almost vertical.

Copacabana is a small town, not accessible by plane.
Copacabana is a small town, not accessible by plane. It has a nice feel, although there are lots of people who work for tourist companies and restaurants who will approach you to try to get you to use their services. They're friendly and not aggressive.
Our day trip to Isla del Sol was nice. We hiked to the temple and had wonderful views. On the boat returning to Copacabana we made a detour to a sort of makeshift restaurant. We were told we'd be there for 50 minutes. What most people did was choose a trout from the pools that were netted off from the lake, and it was prepared for lunch. The trout was the best I've had, but it was strange not to know we'd be going there.
I wanted to go to the Poncho Museum but couldn't find it. A local told me where she thought it was, but there was no sign indicating it was there. After wandering around town a bit, I stopped in at the Pit Stop Bakery, which had delicious baked goods, and good coffee.

Quite a vibrant place with lots to do and see.
Quite a vibrant place with lots to do and see. Take a walk up the Calvary to the crosses at the stop. Also Isla del Sol is a nice day out with a walk across the island. It took us about 3.5 - 4hrs to do. Male sure you have water.
Church / cathedral was lovely but strangely they dont allow you to take photos.
Yiikes forgot to say load up on trout whislt in Copa it was lovely.

Overrated town with little character.
Overrated town with little character. One big tourist trap with no diversity in activities or food. Dirty and unkept. Locals clearly don't value cleanliness.... Trash filled the streets. One day was too long to spend here.

It was busy while we were there, as it was the holiday weekend. It’s a nice town with a beatific cathedral. We visited a Isla Del Sol for one night which was amazing. Overall, 2-3 nights in Copacabana is more than sufficient.

This is probably Bolivia’s most underrated destination.
This is probably Bolivia’s most underrated destination. Mediterranean who?! The views here are stunning. Hikes at Isla del Sol, Cerro El Calvario, and Horca del Inca provided the most spectacular overlooks of the city. Worth the miles we walked and being out of breath!
everything it was the best place we had so far during our trip in Bolivia. the owners are sweet. we stayed in the bungalow it is big and very original. it was nice and warm at night. hot water in the shower. the view on the lake is amazing the garden is beautiful. there are alpacas, a cat, a super sweet dog. you can serve yourself to fresh water. the breakfast was just what one needs. you can just relax and enjoy the views in hammocks or chairs.
the staff Anna and Karen were extremely friendly and chatty. they really tried to make the best of an awkward situation (the main hotel building was full and they said I would be staying in “the other building” about half a mile from where I thought I’d be located). Karen offered to stay with me in the other room but this just tells me that they knew I shouldn’t be there alone.
The people running the hotel are very helpful especially when I was sick. Breakfast was great, White anchor was an easy 5-minute walk, Cerro Calvario is also near. There are free snacks and a big seating area to relax on.
Heating is on schedule but I was okay with the extra blanket.
Wifi is also fast - very important for me who was traveling and working at the same time.
The hostal is very new and it shows: our room was modern and equipped with everything you need. Bright lighting, enough space. Clean everywhere. Also the outlets are universal, so you don't need a traveller adapter to use them. We even had a balcony. Also the staff was very friendly. We visited 4 hostals and hotels in Bolivia and this one was the best!
I cannot say enough amazing things about Las Olas. Incredible staff, amazing views, the most enchanted property which is such an experience in itself to be apart of. We had the Sultan Suite which overlooked the lake, extra blankets and a fireplace with wood replaced everyday. This place is what dreams are made of!
The casitas were adorable...at least mine was. And so spacious. Even had a terra cotta beehive fireplace that had all the kindling and paper in it, ready to start. Views were amazing. I was blown away by how great the staff was. They met my every need. Thank you Hotel La Cupula for a wonderful stay.
Very nice hotel in a quite place of Copacabana, just you have to climb up a hill a little bit. The owner was very nice and helpful and spoke English fluently. it was the first and the last hotel in Bolivia and Peru where we can communicate with the owner easily in English.
Very friendly staff, great location (as the other reviews say, it is a walk up the hill but totally worth it), breakfast is the best we had in a while in South America, and we could store our luggage while going to the island for one night.
The view of Lake Titicaca was great. The breakfast was very good with scrambled eggs, pancakes, fresh juice and the best parfait ever with Bolivian granola, fruit and yogurt. Enrique works very hard to take care of everything.
the hotel is located on a hill facing the lake so there is a wonderful view of the lake from the room. the room was big and comfortable. there is a common kitchen that can be used by the guests. interent was fast and reliable
We loved staying here! The property is clean and the staff are so kind. They allowed us to leave our bags whenever we wanted and helped us with any questions or tea whenever! The hotel is safe and the room was warm and quiet.
We had a large beautiful room with a view of the lake. The beds were very comfortable and the hotel was very clean. Breakfast was great. We arrived early and the staff was kind enough to let us check in early.
Clean and friendly. Great views across Copacabana (which makes the walk up the hill from town worth it). Helpful reception staff who helped us organise our day.
