Chateau de Vignee was a perfect end to our magical two week holiday. It had all the modern conveniences and had been upgraded to a really high standard. The welcome was great. We booked the Michelin starred Arden and it didn’t disappoint. Marius Bosman took us on a journey round the world on our tastebuds. It was delicious, exquisite and so creative. Thank you.

Everything in this B&B is thought with the heart and cared with a lot of love, with cute decoration and very beautiful and well-kept exteriors.
The rooms and all the furniture are also beautiful, with taste and style. Relax area on the top floor is simply unique and amazing.
The breakfast is varied every day, with homemade and high quality products.
But surely what makes this beautiful B&B more special are the couple who created it from scratch, Julie and Jean Noël, designer and superchef, a great team! Thank you so much for making us feel at home the week we were there. Chapeau!

There was absolutely nothing to dislike about our stay at Les Terrasses des Falizes. From welcome to goodbye all great.. The hostess seems to aim for excellence and is succeeding. The b&b is nicely decorated, comfortable and clean as a whistle. The grounds nicely kept and a place to charge your electric vehicle. The breakfast is copious and delicious.

Rochefort is an interesting place, but hard work if you don't have a car.
We found it difficult to understand the bus system ...
The train station is several kilometres away from Rochefort & you need to catch a bus from there to the city. There are a number of bus routes that go to & from Rochefort, and you need to work out which one to catch, where to board it, and where to alight. We had to cross reference information on the bus stops with data on the bus company website and ask the tourist information centre before we could be certain. Oh, and it appears you also need the exact fare in cash - the drivers apparently don't do change. And when you leave Rochefort, the bus doesn't actually stop at the train station - thankfully our bus driver let us know when to get off.
On the positive side, lots of wonderful restaurants & cafes, and lots of interesting things to do and see. And great local beers & pastries.
The hotel is in a renovated country hunting house. In a beatifull area near the river. A beautiful indoor pool with surounding windows you can see the nature all around.
Room was lovely although small. Bed was large and very comfortable. Toiletary of caudalie excellent. The receptionist was very nice. Took us to the wine cellar ( loveley) he explained us about the history and the wines they have.
Everything about our stay was outstanding, from the accomodation, friendly host, welcoming atmosphere and delicious breakfast. Excellent value for money.
We could not have asked for more. We especially liked the lounge area which we had to ourselves. We would highly recommend and would definitely like to return to spend longer exploring Rochefort.
Many thanks from Mr & Mrs Rochefort.
We had a very nice stay in this hotel. The room was cosy and the breakfast buffet was very good and served in a nice environment. We will definitely stay here again next time we go to Rochefort.
