A 1-night stop-over with a difference! Never stayed in a castle before and walking into the courtyard across the stone bridge transports you straight back into the 14th Century! The Dutch owners welcomed me and on the way to my room was told some of the castle's history! I actually had a choice of taking the lift up to my room in the tower or the stairs. My room was clean and in keeping with the surroundings! The lift ended in my room with it's own lockable door! You do hear the lift but I didn't have a problem with it! Going to sleep with the sound of moorhens and ducks was quite relaxing! There is a wonderfull wintergarden which has a breakfast area and lounging area. It was totally relaxing!

Absolutely perfect for my needs, in fact it exceeded my expectations. Really well appointed en-suite room with a great layout, really comfortable bed and a fantastic shower, (which is a big thing for me).

Absolutely fantastic place to stay, particularly for families. A very rustic and charming place in the countryside surrounded by fields and orchards. Made excellent by the warm and friendly hosts who allowed us to feed their alpacas, use a communal games room and race about on their pedal powered go-carts. Kids and adults (young at heart) will love this place.
