Only stayed in the area for a couple of days.

Only stayed in the area for a couple of days. Ate at 'The Old Fiddler', which was very good. Plenty of other eateries of all types available in the town centre. The railway station has a regular service to Ypres / Ieper and beyond.

Great for anybody interested in WW1, plus it has some interesting independent shops. Talbot House is a must-visit place. Okay, so all of the restaurants are closed on Monday evenings, but who cares when you can visit the frituur 'Du Tram' which probably serves the best frites for miles? Easy to walk around, although the one-way system for driving is a bit confusing. Well worth a look at when visiting Ypres.

A delightful and picturesque town with so much to see and enjoy. Excellent bars and places to eat. A bit like a smaller version of Ypres but less manic. Cafe De La Paix was a good place to get a wide selection of beers and a good meal. Talbot House is a must to see. Easy and pleasant place to walk around in the evening.

Very friendly place. The people were very helpful. Felt very safe and welcoming. We managed to get everything we needed or wanted in either Poperinge or Ieper, which is just down the road. It is a great location for visiting both Belgium and France. The food we ate was excellent.

Interesting little town - plenty to see and do in and around the town for a short break. Restaurants a bit pricey - but plenty of choice. Would particularly recommend the Hop Museum, making a trip out to the St Bernardus brewery (great value guided tour /beer tasting- book in advance) and visiting Ghent and Brugge. You can also walk to St Sixtus monastery (more beer- and a cafe for lunch!).

We went for the Poperinge beer festival which was great.

We went for the Poperinge beer festival which was great. Recommend that you hire bikes, great cycle paths and relatively little traffic. You can cycle easily to Watou and the famous trappist abbey/brewery Westleveteren quite easily. Short train trip to Ypres as well.

Where do I begin. The lovely house itself. The close proximity to the centre of town. The lovely view of the church steeple from the lounge window. The lovely court yard garden area. And of course Poperinge itself. We haven't been for many years and were reminded how much we love Poperinge. We're in noisy Lille now - and wish we were back at Home Juliette in beautiful sleepy Pops. We shall return!!

While the hotel itself was very limited, the room was large, the bathroom well fitted and the bed wonderfully comfortable. The location was excellent.
