We used this hotel as a stop over from Alsace to Amsterdam and what a great little find!
A beautiful building and gardens full of charm and character with a delightful owner who welcomed us with fresh fruit juice.
The bed was really comfy, plenty of towels and even dressing robes!
The continental breakfast was delicious with a lot of attention to detail.
Hotel Aulnenhof is located in the village of Walshoutem, in between Brussels and Liège. The accomodation used to be an abbey and was built in 657 by Landelius.

The owner was extremely attentive and welcoming. There was a ‘club’ room in which we could microwave some dinner and sit and eat in comfort with a lovely selection of Belgium beers. It was very comfortable and just what we needed after a long day’s cycling. There was a secure room for our bicycles and the swimming pool was amazing. Location was remote and quiet!

We had a wonderful stay. The facilities were all super clean and the environment was extremely relaxing. A big plus was a super comfortable bed and watching the stars from the hottub.

Lovely owners, very friendly. The kids shared the 2nd bedroom but the jewel was the master suite. Very spacious and comfortable with both a bath and shower, which was lovely.
Beautifully decorated.
The kids loved the hot tub in the back and the wonderful view of fields and horses.
There was option to book riding lesson, which we would have done with longer time.
Great base for doing day visits and supermarket 2km away.
