Nice city with a few interesting sites and museums. Convenient train station and very walkable. Attractive setting. We particularly enjoyed the Textile Museum and walking along the river thrush the city.
Important to know that rental car options are an expensive taxi ride away.

We were there because of info day at Howest University. My son was in Kjortrijk for one week last year (as an exchange stay of high school - which has been going there more then 30 years). He may come back to University. We can return to Kjortrijk more often.

A shame that there are so many works in the streets.
A shame that there are so many works in the streets. I recommend the 1302, beguinage, the other small beguinage and the walk around the river. What is definitely not good is that all covered parkings at the city centre close at 2:00 am.

I am genuinely impressed with Kortrijk.
I am genuinely impressed with Kortrijk. I had not really thought of it before as a place to go, but it is a friendly, clean and interesting place to go - and a great base for exploring the area, be it Flanders or Lille or even Ghent.
The centre is a joy to walk around - how good is it to take in cafes cleaning the pavements outside early in the morning, to walk to a neighbourhood bakery that is open Sunday mornings?

This is a little gem of a place, next to the rivers, lovely squared, architecture, parks and historic areas. Thoroughly lovely place to visit and explore and being on a train line there is easy access to Lille and other towns in Belgium.
Also being only 1.5 hours from calais it's super quick to get there. Great little town.

Lovely town, vibrant and young, night life in the open, music; beautiful historical town centre, with many shops, cafes, restaurants, bars and pubs, where you could try local cuisine and beers, as well as plenty of cultural events.
This hotel provides very high quality for a very affordable price. The rooms are spatious, beds very comfy (and I'm saying that as a back pain patient), and the bathroom is spotless with a great rain shower. The location is also perfect, just at the edge of the city centre of Kortrijk. The host goes above and beyond to provide everything you need as a guest. I would definitely book here again. The breakfast is also highly recommended, in a cosy little pub with lots of options.
This is a lovely modern B&B in the centre of Kortrijk - in view of the Broel towers. The host made us feel very welcome and introduced us to the family dog! There is a kitchen to make drinks, with biscuits - and this leads out into the garden where there are seats. Breakfast was very good. Our room was modern, clean and well decorated. We particularly appreciated that there was a lift to the first floor room. The area is quiet and close to the main square.
It's a very lovely hotel with a professional staff. Our son is studying and playing handball there so when we visit, this hotel will definitely our HQ. This was only an overnight trip so we didn't try the spa or pool. The breakfast was good and we were able to have a last family meal at an additional cost which is important. The room was very clean and comfortable. The shower spacious. The only concern was a loose faucet which I'm sure will be fixed.
Warm welcome. We were able to have a late afternoon drink on the hotel's terrace. Very comfortable and clean bathroom and bedroom. Evening meal was excellent, plenty of choice and the buffet breakfast was the same. Easy and close by parking. Close to the Broel Towers and river side for walking.
The location was very good, close to the off-site parking and easy walk into the main central area. Room sizes were good for our needs and beds were comfortable. Even though we we in close proximity to the busy bars and restaurants the rooms remained quiet inside on Friday & Saturday night.

Fine location in the city, surprisingly quiet setback villa in the city center, interesting layout and rooms and engaging owner and nice welcome. Walked to dinner in the center (about 1400 meters) shuttle is also available.
The hosts are very friendly and helpful. Everything was great, the apartment was clean and the location is perfect, close to the river, the Buda Island and the city center. I can recommend to everyone visiting Kortrijk.
