The hotel is family owned and run and that was reflected in all aspects of its super friendly service - from check in (your bags look heavy, we’ll give you a ground floor room), great advice on where to eat and what to see and a breakfast that amply catered for both a normal and a gluten free diet. The location, just off the Grote Markt, was excellent.

This was our second visit Ypres to pay our respects to New Zealand Soldiers family members who were killed in action in WWI. Their grave sites are in Tyncot and Belgium Battery Corner.
These sites are immaculately looked after and makes us feel our fallen family members are well cared for and respected.
On this occassion we also attended the daily rememberance ceromany at Memem Gates which is very moving and a sobering experience.
On a brighter note the town center is very clean and well presented with plenty of museums and great selections of cafes.

We did a full day tour of the WW1 Battlefields, if you plan to do this, you need 2 full days in Ypres. The town is lovely to walk around and explore as well, so doing a tour will prevent exploration of the town.
The Menin Gate Last Post service is a must when visiting, it attracts many people. There are some good restaurants in the Grote Market Square. Ypres is easy to get around by walking, no taco or public transport is necessary.

A perfect place for us, we were a group of 7 riding scooters and the use of the large garage was very reassuring. The staff were grerat and the rooms were clean. The outside space was perfect for us all to gather outside of our rooms. Perfectly situated in the centre of Ypres and only about 100 meters from the Menin Gate. No issues at all and highly reccomended.

Beautiful, quiet city with so much history!
Beautiful, quiet city with so much history! The people were lovely, the food was divine and the beer was fantastic! The Menin Gate ceremony is poignant and moving, would highly recommend. We would love to return again as just wandering around and seeing the city was relaxing.
The hotel was absolutely beautiful, every little detail was perfect. The owner was so welcoming
Location was literally round the corner from Ypres centre and the Menin Gate

Looking forward to my next visit in July and September.
Good clean hotel in the centre on Ypres - literally 100m from the cloth hall and centre. We were motorcycling and the staff member asked if we wanted to store our bikes in the garage.
