The accommodation is located against the border of Germany in Belgium in a former border post building. ideal base for day trips to Aachen, the northern Ardennes and the Eifel. the apartment consists of a corridor with a toilet and a former office with a high ceiling in which the space is divided into a lower part with a sofa, kitchenette, dining table and bathroom, and an upper part with a double bed. We were welcomed by a hospitable and helpful host who gave us an extensive tour with explanations and gave us tips on attractions in the area. A special mention: MANNEKENFrit, the mini restaurant (no, not a snack bar) where they serve excellent chips and hamburgers. Not cheap, but very good quality, and at 30 seconds walking distance from the apartment.

parking was nearby. breakfast room was easy to access. gas station near by, that had nice staff and something to eat- and there was a microwave we could heat up the food we bought. very modest but adequate selection of snacks in the gas station. nothing available at the Motel in the evening.

The hotel is run by a family, and the owners were very friendly. The breakfast was a nice Continental spread and had everything we could want. The beds were comfortable and our room was very spacious compared to many hotels we've stayed in, and nice and quiet!
