People at the reception were very helpful and friendly. The location is exceptional and the grounds superb. We came for a cycling weekend and this is a wonderful place to start your trip and the terrace perfect for a beer afterwards. The restaurant was fine but due to a wedding they were a little understaffed. The swimming pool/spa was excellent after a long bike ride.

An excellent hotel/hostel next to the river - simple accommodation, mainly targeted for young people, next to the river, the staff running the hotel are the same people that run the kayak rental facility. We rented the family room which was perfect for five people (two adults and three younger family members on the upper floor). Don't expect luxury - this is a simple, clean, efficient place to stay, very good breakfast, the staff was super friendly and nice, the price for money was great. Super recommended!

Lots of things to do in Dinant. We used the cycle paths along the river as well as the old railway up to the monastery. There were lots of people using canoes and picnicking along the river too. The town had lots of restaurants, cafes and bars. Parking in he town could be a bit difficult, but generally OK.

We were in Dinant for Maison Leffe which was interesting,...
We were in Dinant for Maison Leffe which was interesting, but not a brewery visit, just an interactive museum, we had drinks on the lawn at the rear of the building which was lovely.
The following morning we visited the citadel which gives great views over the town and you learn the history of Dinant, which is very interesting.

Beautiful part on Belgium, great little town to stroll around, eat and take a boat tour. Nice architecture and history of the town.
Visiting the Notre Dame is a must, Citadele was also very nice!
Definitely recommending so spend some time in the nature in the area, hike around, climb cliffs or go kayaking!

Very interesting place, with a spectacular fortress on a high cliff; impressive architecture; the Lefe beer museum is a little more commercialised than I like; the cave Grotte La merveilleuse is impressive. There are several castles and castle ruins around from different historical periods. Great place to visit! Kayaking and rock climbing is also a thing here, although it's not our cup of tea.

Beautifull small village in a very nice location. The castle offers a nice experience and you can have good food in Dinant. There are a lot of short excursions you can have starting from Dinant. A very nice destination for a short vacation.
The hotel in itself is very beautiful. The staff at the reception and the bar were very friendly and welcoming. Our room was extremely clean and warm. It was very comfortable as well. The sauna was a very nice addition and the balcony was overlooking a beautiful tree-lined road/small forest. The breakfast was tasty and varied. The location is 8 mins walk away from the train station, and right next to the center of Dinant walking. The tour of Maison Leffe inside the hotel was also interesting.
All was well on the 2 occasions that I stayed at the hotel. It is a fair distance from Dinant and a bit difficult to get to, but was well worth it in the end. It was also very useful having a restaurant (The Brothers Pub and Restaurant) next door to the hotel (I don't know whether it is part of a hotel complex). Nevertheless, the menu was very comprehensive, the food was very good, and excellent value for money.
