What a great find! I was staying alone with my three young children which is anxiety inducing enough but they couldn’t have been more helpful and kind. Beautiful garden and playground (with a games box!) for them to safely run around in. We all slept wonderfully. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful.

We liked everything of this place: the welcoming staff, the place, so cozy and warm, the excellent position, breakfast and the quality of its products. We’ve travelled and have been in many countries, hotels and BnBs in our lives and this is truly one of the most pleasant places we’ve been to. Can’t wait to go back! Again, many thanks from Jiri (from Genk) and Alice (from Italy)!
The area is calm, with so much nature to explore. There are hikes to do with many paths. There are sights to visit such as the 'reading between the lines' church, a wall still standing in parts of the city from ancient Roman times, several local pubs, and pastry shops that make your mouth water.
Breakfast is fresh, homemade and delicious. The host offered a big variety in produces (mostly local). She is a very warm person who puts her heart in Villa Kakelbont. She welcomed us with a personal touch in the room and homemade cake. She showed us around the beautifull natural garden and was very helpfull with information about the region, hiking tips, ... You are a 5 min walk away from the cosy centre of Borgloon and hiking trails are nearby.

It was a bit weird situation when we arrived. I had booked the hotel the same day, so they hadn't oticed the booking. The place was closed when we got there. Luckily someone answered the phone and let us in. So our group enjoyed the whole place for just us. The bedrooms are very nicely done. Beds are comfortable. The surroundings are nice for cycling and also for walking.
