The secret heaven (garden) of the property worth everything! Swimming pool has natural look, sunbeds are so comfy, I love it! A small thing; I was hearing slow house music all around the garden, sounds systems should be perfectly installed. Breakfast was amazing, every single details have been thought, from healthy-fresh shots to homemade plump jam and served perfectly. We will definitely come back.

Aalter isn't much to look at but the main square has a few nice, typical Belgian restaurant/cafés where you can enjoy a nice steak or some mussels along with a Jupiler beer.
It's right next to the main motorway between Calais and Brussels, about halfway between Bruges and Gent so ideal for a stopover.

We were going from Wales to Berlin and needed an overnight stay, somewhere we could get a good sleep and a nice breakfast in the midst of all the driving. About 75 mins from Channel tunnel so one feels one has made inroads on the trek across Europe before stopping for the night. Quiet town, nice restaurant in the square, the train to Bruges (15 mins) offers a chance to see a little bit of the city while passing through.
The location of the property is just off the motorway and about 20 minutes drive from Brugge and Ghent. The hotel itself was spotlessly clean and comfortable, and with free parking, WiFi, and breakfast was exceptionally good value. The breakfast was a continental breakfast with a great variety of items, and additional facilities for making simple omelettes, sausages, boiled eggs, and pancakes. There is a variety of restaurants just minutes walk away in the village. We would happily stay here again, or recommend it to anyone.
Our stay at the International House Aalter was fantastic! The breakfast was delicious and themed(Easter). We particularly appreciated the coffee machine and the ability to make tea. The room was extremely clean and well-designed, and the House was quiet and peaceful. The owners are polite and friendly, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, this was one of the best hotel experiences we've had in a long time, and we left feeling happy and satisfied

Geert and his wife were perfect hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Aalter, it’s a perfect place for exploring Ghent, Brugge and the surrounding area. It’s a quaint place, with comfortable and large rooms and bathroom and a fantastic looking garden. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful and we appreciated the opportunity to check-in early.
This small hotel was beautifully situated between Ghent and Bruges in farm country. The proprieter was very helpful in finding local restaurants; please note he speaks excellent Flemish, some English and a little French. Breakfast was excellent, catering to many tastes, and the beds are the comfiest we have had in a hotel yet.
Very friendly family. They cared about us and all our what we needs. I strongly recomend thats place. Wonderfull breakfast. They care about place and people. Next time if I will be at Aalter I will stay at B&B Beaux Temps. Kind regards and many Thanks. Dariusz Wiszenko
5The hotel is great for a stop on your way when you're driving somewhere. The room is good, the bed is comfortable, there is a fridge and a kettle, the breakfast has a great variety. There is a big free public parking right in front of the hotel.
Good parking area, the apartment was comfortable ,warm ,good modern clean toilet and shower facility.
Good Carrefour in Aalter for food shopping.
Good train service to Bruges or Gent , cheap and only 20 minutes journey .
Strategic position for brouges, near the autoroute, free parking in front of the hotel, clear little rooms seems much more a 3+ star than 4 but raccomended.
