The staff were very friendly and accommodating. There was an issue with the toilet but the staff arranged for the maintenance team to quickly resolve it.

The breakfast menu catered to all my favourite dishes. Service was quick and affordable. Despite a public food court within proximity and offering a vast selection of dishes, Pirate's Inn restaurant was secondary to none.

Bridgetown, Barbados. Its excellent reputation did not disappoint. The renowned Bajan, (Barbadian) hospitality was always displayed when inquiring about unfamiliar subjects. Bajans seem eager to help with directions to places of interest, restaurants, or knowing the history of Barbados. Some of my favourite places I visited included the Animal Flower Cave, The Barbados Museum and Sam Lord's Castle. Beaches include Carlisle's Beach, Pebbles Beach and Haywood Beach in Speightstown. Oistin's Fish Market and other places such as restaurants that serve local dishes, must be on your list of places to eat. Do not be afraid to take local public transportation; the authorized fare is $3.50 (bds) irrespective of distance. While on the beach, avoid the poisonous manchineel trees. They are painted in red around their trunks to point out the danger.

Lanterns mall was decent with a variety of stores but most were closed. I had delivered from seven oh 11, not very good, food was extremely spicy. I would reccommend maybe staying in a different location from worthing, Christ Church.

We were really disappointed to see that the Waterfront was all boarded up and were informed that there was a regeneration plan for this area. We hope that it will be done for when we return.
It gets very hot in town so a quick dash to shops and then back to the beach. Could do with some more fun shops and not just duty free stores.
Also some nice restaurants would be beneficial.

Ate in a gorgeous beachfront restaurant about 10 min walk from resort.
Easy to get around on foot. Town centre is very small. Not much to see historically. Parliament building wasn't sign posted.
Beaches were nice.

Good hotel charging a reasonable price.
Good hotel charging a reasonable price. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Good location. Short walk from many amenities. The room had everything required. It was sizeable and very comfortable. It was a shame the restaurant and bar were closed for refurbishment.

I am not sure if we got the same room we booked.
I am not sure if we got the same room we booked. There were rooms with balcony but we were given one without a balcony. My husband said he visited there before and it was a much better place. We were told that the place had new owners, so that could be the difference. We did enjoy having breakfast close to the beach which was the highlight of our visit. The water at the beach was a little rough during our stay, but it was a pretty site to watch the boats go out on the water. It was easy to get around. I did go to the market place where I purchased some fruits, bread and souvenirs, but I don't think we would return there anytime soon.
The hotel itself is lovely the rooms are really spacious. The location is not the best in terms of wanting to go out on the nights as it’s around 6 miles from the main strip / bars / restaurants! There is however a tiki bus if you walk around half a mile to the main road which will take you to the livelier spots for around 4 dollers. Taxis were around 30 us dollers for the same route. The beach at the hotel was lovely and the beach out the front of the hotel was exceptional !
Staff are very friendly and helpful. Room was dated but very clean and Rockley beach, the bus stop, and restaurants was a short walk (less than ten minutes walk) from the hotel. I was able to take the local bus (3.50 Barbados currency) and visited Holetown, Carlisle Bay and Bridgetown. There is also a bank (Scotiabank) at the end of the street. It was a perk having a pool on the property.
I will defiantly share my experience, with others. make sure all fixture in rooms works, the room is spotless and what has been promoted online, all users see and receive as standard practice on arrival. if you are going to stay at the blue horizon hotel it is not the best but the location to local beaches and entertainment is good.
Loved this hotel. Rooms were functional but immaculately clean and the view from the balcony was superb. The beach is right on the doorstep with sun beds supplied. The restaurant is open and airy and we really enjoyed the somewhat quirky breakfasts. Bus stop was right outside the hotel and there are restaurant options nearby.
It was amazing tIme there very close to The shops around 7 minutes the same time walking to the bus stop.Host is the best person she is really helpful person and friendly I’m feeling like at home all the time when I need help she did.Definitely I recommend this place .If I have choice I will back there.
Nice low-key hotel right on the beach. Our room was downstairs, perhaps 75 feet from the water. It had a full kitchen—everything but the food, and there was a large grocery store within walking distance. Good price, and very helpful manager. I’d stay there anytime!
Location was great for exploring the South Coast. Bridgetown and Oistins in easy reach on the buses. Staff very friendly and we felt very safe. The housekeeping team are wonderful and the best restaurant guides you will find if you want to try Bajan food.
Breakfast was fine and adequate. Staff were charming. There was a variety for breakfasts every day. The location was fine not too far from Bridgetown. A taxi or the local bus was easy to access. It was also relatively easy to get a bus back to the hotel.
Staff, absolutely the best staff in any hotel I've been, hats off to Shane who made us feel at home on the beach, and Loraine who made sure we didn't need anything! Everyone is friendly and helpful.
The beach is the best in the island.
The location is awesome! Walking distance to 3 incredible beaches: Rockley, Worthing and Dover beahes - which are much better than those surrounding Carlisle Bay!! For that reason alone, this is a great hotel.
Great location, close to Bridgetown. The room was very clean and cozy. The surroundings were quiet and relaxing. We loved seeing the peacocks walk around the property freely. Relaxing in the pool was excellent
Convenient location, lovely beach and facilities, comfortable room with beautiful ocean view, entertainment, restaurants etc. kind, helpful staff. Very nice comfortable hotel. Great breakfast choices!!!
The layout, physical offerings and location were lovely although in general hotel is aging . The beach was beautiful and getting into the water easy because the bottom was sandy and entry gradual.
The hotel was extremely empty whilst we were there so nice and quiet. We were the only ones who used the pool. For a short break this was nice staff were extremely nice and helpful
Beach was great, except for grasses in water and strong current (not hotel's fault).
Liked the kitchenette.
Enjoyed the staff and their way of helping us when needed.
Location is Fantastic and the hotel is right at the beach . Public transport is safe and efficient, you can go anywhere on the island. Bus stop next to the hotel
