You couldn’t ask for a better place to stay while visiting Wilson’s prom. It is perfectly located right next to the entrance of the national park. We were made very welcome on arrival with the personalised note and bottle of Prosecco. The house is equipped with everything you need to make it an enjoyable, relaxing experience. We loved the bbq and decking area outside as it had beautiful views looking out at the scenery. The owners of the property were very helpful and responsive making the check in process very smooth. Will definitely be back to stay in this property , it exceeded our expectations.

There was nothing to enjoy about this property. It was located far from the city with no restaurants or cafes within at least a half-hour drive, and the incessant crowing of a rooster starting at 5 am on saturday morning was unbearable.

Yanakie is a small area near the entrance to the Wilson Promontory Park. It has a pizza restaurant and garage/general store. A good place to get accommodation for exploring the Prom if you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of the Tidal River site. Pizza restaurant is a bonus as the only place for proper food in the area.

Not much to say. Close to beautiful Wilsons Prom. Has a good Local pizza shop with a general store and Petrol station. The guy in the general store was rude and grumpy. He carried on about covid rules and mask-wearing even though I had an exemption. Lucky it was when we were on our way out.

The peace and quiet was terrific would have liked a few more days. The cabin had everything you would need and the bed was very comfortable. Enjoyed our week end very much. Thankyou to James and Sandra great hosts.

The perfect base to explore Wamoon/Wilson's Promontory and South Gippsland. Plenty of foodie options in nearby Fish Creek and Foster, art including the Celia Rosser gallery and plenty of adventures and stunning scenery.

Need to travel a bit for meals. Fish creek pub was great. Cafe dreadful.(only 1 open on a sunday morning). No breakfast menu. Only a bit better in Foster. Scenery around the area was beautiful. Agnes falls are lovely!
The property was located reasonably close to the entrance to the Wilsons Promontary National Park, and so is ideally located for those who want to visit the Park but who want comfortable accommodation in a quiet location. During our stay we had an enjoyable walk around Duck Point, some challenging but scenic hikes including My Oberon and Mt Bishop, and time relaxing on the lovely beaches near Tidal River.
The cabins are situated on a family owned property at Yanakie, the gateway to Wilsons Promitory, with great views of the surrounding land. Our cabin was comfortable, clean and well maintained. It had everything we needed. It was a quiet, relaxing place to stay with lovely gardens and large expanse of lawn. Highly recommend staying here.
Karen and Marty are excellent hosts. Their property is magnificent and immaculate offering beautiful views and easy access to the Wilsons Promontory. We loved the beautifully presented and tasty breakfasts, dinners and G&Ts served by them. They grow and/or prepare nearly everything they serve.
Parking was right next to the entrance to the room and has a beautiful view of surrounding properties. About 5-10 mins walk away is the Yanakie General Store so easy access to supplies. The room could easily sleep two people as the bed was quite large. A fridge and kettle were also present.
The location to the Prom is brilliant
Any criticism I give is balanced by the location to the Prom, and we really enjoyed exploring it.
The staff are friendly & helpful
They sell bags of ice amongst other things on-site so there's no need to drive into Yanakie & that was good for us.
The one bedroom cottage had a fantastic view looking out to fields and the ocean. The unit had everything needed for an extended stay. The kitchen was fully equipped for making meals. Easy access to Wilsons Promontory for hiking and swimming.
A wonderful escape for families or couples. The cabin was small but had everything you could need and a view to die for. We watched the sun set over the water and distant mountains and woke to kangaroos outside. Perfect!
