Spring Beach Retreat, hotel in Triabunna

Featuring a patio with garden views, a garden and barbecue facilities, Spring Beach Retreat can be found in Spring Beach, close to Spring Beach and 1.5 km from Stapleton Beach.

I really liked that it is a true 'schack' scale. Not like a holiday home/house, but just a small little intimage, cosy, comfy shack. EXACTLY what we were looking for to wrap up the school holidays. Lots of card games, board games, and laughing times, together.

Nice regional Tasmania town with limited but adequate places to eat. The nearby harbor was pleasant and we enjoyed strolling around the town. Bus stops for bus services were convenient and easy to find.

Overnight Stay at Triabunna Caravan & Cabin Park just down the road from our next day cruise with Maria Island Cruises. Excellent accommodation and location. Everywhere is worth visiting. Stop at small towns.

Everywhere is worth visiting. Stop at small towns. What they have to offer can be a pleasant surprise. See the history and how old meets new. Triabunna is a handy small place between bigger places and, of course, it's where you catch the ferry to Maria Island. We ate at a great fish and chip shop at the wharf and there are other food places to choose from. It's all good.

    We had everything we needed.

We had everything we needed. Microwave (most important for us!), kettle, toaster, tea, coffee and milk. All the amenities everyone requires but if someone needed a full kitchen I would recommend asking for a cabin. We had lunch at the Fish Van near the wharf about 3 blocks away. Best fish and chips I have had for a long time. They have a full menu of everything seafood as well as burgers etc and ice creams and milkshakes! It's very easy to get around the town. Walking is easiest. Local IGA is only a short walk away to stock up on supplies. If you want to go to Maria Island. remember they don't sail over there on a Tuesday! Plan your trip around that!

Triabunna is a small very friendly fishing village that has now become a yachting marina. Maria Island is a huge attraction here with the ferry leaving from here on the half hour cruise out to sea from the jetty. Maria Island is a car free National park that is virtually a treasure chest of protected species of Aussie animals for us to be able to walk among in a wild state. Wombats everywhere . so cute, wallabys Tasmanian devils and the bush walks range from easy to quite hard. Something for everyone. The Cruise, Spirit of Maria, cruise right around the island and you get to see cliffs, caves fossil cliffs and beautiful beaches in a full day cruise. We are going again.
