Ning and Rob are a warm couple who host you with the perfect hospitality. Rob was kind enough to share his most fascinating stories and experiences that kept us asking for more. Ning served us a wonderful breakfast that sealed our stay at the Homestead. Our seven year old enjoyed exploring the manicured gardens and backyard that are full of antique paraphernalia; indeed a fantastic glimpse into the Classical World. The wonderful property is a perfect getaway for tourists and visitors. Must visit for those looking to get away from the tourist hustle bustle and looking for an offbeat retreat.

Overall, the location was convenient but we felt the rate of about $350 per night was excessive

It is a standard motel - easy to find, in house restaurant with reasonable food, comfortable bed, low price but nothing outstanding. Clean but smelled highly (and unpleasantly) of cleaning products when we arrived!
No pod machine, no extra decorations but a decent sized table where we played a game.
Found the immediate area disappointing but nice winery experiences a short drive away.

The room was fully renovated, very comfortable, clean and simply decorated. The Staff was very helpful and very friendly. We loved staying here. The only small disappointment was the breakfast. From the pictures we expected a buffet continental breakfast with croissants as the picture showed. However the breakfast was provided in the room which we could take out with us to the common kitchen area and only had bread and jams and yoghurt.

After seeing my review and reading others, it would seem that the motel has either a power problem or there's an issue with signal strength for air con, TV and other electrics. I hope the owners get to read these comments. It's a nice motel , great value , but problems with electrics.
