Yes you need a car to get to places
Bega, Eden, Pambula, Tura Beach are all close by
The clubs are great too
There are places to take children plus golf clubs and beaches, fishing, boat trips whale watching wildlife park great aquarium

The views of the area are spectacular, especially during whale-watching season.
There were many walks that could be taken and they were on flat ground.
The town itself is on an incline that can be tiresome for some.
The tourist information bureau had great information that we availed ourselves of.

We love Merimbula, so easy to get around by car or walking. I prefer to park the car at my accommodation and walk everywhere, so easy and so many beautiful walks. The weather was perfect, seafood fabulous....Merimbula is our happy place.

Our stay at Ocean Drive Apartments in Merimbula was fantastic the accommodation is big and clean with everything you need, beautiful clean beach a couple of minutes walk across the road, Merimbula is the perfect place to stay to go sightseeing in all directions as well as a variety of eateries or shopping options available in Merimbula 😊😃😁we will be back.

One of the best place to escape from daily routine and restore the energy. Plenty cafes, shops and activities for different budget and taste, including whale watching,surfing, fishing and gym/yoga. Very calm and relaxed atmosphere. Definitely will recommend to stay in Merimbula

Beaches real nice. food at places near beach bit overprices. nice coffee ships but seem to close 3.30 ish. Pambola beach very popular and near by. Even being April no whale time , the 2 hour cruise well worth while seals dolphins other beaches ect. complicated intersections but generally nice town. Id go back for whale whatching i believe oct on ?
The house was much better than I expected. The kitchen family room and beautiful balcony with exceptional views. Great facilities, everything you need for a long stay. I wish we had stayed longer. We loved Merimbula and the surrounding towns close by. Great parking and outdoor entertainment area. Perfect for two couples travelling together and a couple of kids. Close to town centre within walking distance but a bit of a hill to climb.
The owners of the property were so friendly and accommodating. Our room was ready when we arrived and nothing was too much trouble for the managers. We were travelling for business and didn't spend much time at the property. Most of our time was spent in the town and at events. I would highly recommend the Waterview Luxury Apartments.
You can't beat the location of these cabins , overlooking Short Point, Merimbula. Great views across the beach and back lake. Fabulous for a morning or afternoon walk. The cabin had a small kitchen and two bedrooms with one bathroom. All very clean but the decor, a bit dated. There was parking onsite too.
Really enjoyed our stay at Sorrento Luxury Apartments. Great location close to town centre. Easy walk to RSL Club, Bowling Club and supermarkets. Apartment was spotlessly clean and well presented. Hosts, Neale provided and excellent run down of the facilities and the apartment.
Great value, view and so clean and comfortable. The little blow heater fir bathroom a great touch. Loved everything and will book again when in merimbula.
