Although the room was small and the shower floor slippery, it was charming. The receptionist gave us her parking space in the parking garage when all the other spots were full. The beer garden was scenic and the neighborhood was interesting to walk around in, especially at night.

All the personnel we met were warm and very accommodating. Our room was very spacey for 2 adults and 2 toddlers, and breakfast was simply amazing (freshly-pressed orange juice for the win!). Short walk from the bus station, at the edge of the old town.

Wels is only 55,000 people but it feels like a much larger place in terms of what there is to see and do. It dates from the 1100s and there are many traces of the Roman occupation, with hundreds of beautiful old buildings, nice gardens, excellent restaurants and for those who are interested, shopping. There are hundreds of mles of bike oaths leading out into the countryside and more hiking possibilities than you could do in a month.

This little town is well located on the Austrian side of the German Austrian border.
We chose Wels as our night stay town while travelling through Germany to Croatia.
It is easy to get around, the city center offers many dining and shopping alternatives.

Although, Wels has nothing special to see, you can do many things in the area. I would recommend to rent a car and visit the surroundings.
I want to recommend the Gösser Bräu on Kaiser-Josef-Platz, it is really a good eat.

Wels is easily accessible on the main Vienna to Salzburg railway line. Good facilities in town for hotels and shops.
The cities main attractions are the older parts of the town centre, the parks, walks by the river and small town atmosphere. A visit can be accomplished in less than a day.

Big industrial centre but also historical aspects.
Although a small historical centre the town has many charming features.
Such as the castle,, Stadplatz, churches, multiculti restaurants and the Muehlbach river with its ducks and fish and clear pure water.
Wels people are also very welcoming to strangers.
A nice hotel in the center of Wels.
Enough restaurants and bars in the area for a nice evening.
The room was very clean and tidy.
Very good beds and a nice spacious bathroom.
We only stayed one night because we were passing through.
But we will definitely come back a little longer to admire the beautiful city.
The staff were very helpful and friendly.
Parking is possible under the hotel in a parking garage, the costs are € 8.50 per day.
But maybe you can also park nearby for a different price or for free.
Quiet place, clean and comfortable room! Parking place in front of hotel. Very good wifi. Definitely would stay here in the future if I am in the area. Restaurant is also very nice place! Breakfast was not included in the price I choose and honestly I find that for 15 euro extra cost for breakfast they could offer at least omelet at a customer choice, but it is only a humble opinion based on my experience with hotels at that rang.
A good hotel in an industrial section of Wels (yes, I may be wrong, but have got such an impression). We were there on weekend, so neighbourhood was quiet, no hustle and bustle. Overall standard Ibis, as anywhere else, same amenities, just good and convenient.

Very convenient location in the center of Wels. Good food from the restaurant located at the ground level. Polite staff. Brightly clean rooms and bathroom - actually more than expected for a little hotel attached to a restaurant.
Stayed 5 days, 4 nights with a group. Really enjoyed the hotel! Very modern, functional and clean rooms as well as common areas. Excellent breakfast, worth the 15 euros extra. Reliable and quick laundry service.
