This small town is "on the edge" of the Wachau Valley.
This small town is "on the edge" of the Wachau Valley. It is a very quiet place, with one or two noteworthy sights such as the Kokoschka House. It is worth a two-hour visit if you are in the Wachau Valley.
The hotel had overbooked accommodation, and after some delay, the staff relocated us by car to another B&B. We had paid before arrival so there was no querying our booking. Although an inconvenience, the staff, particularly an Algerian gentleman, were very helpful and did their best to minimise the inconvenience. Overall it was a difficult simply because we had arrived tired sfter a long days cycling.
The hotel absolutely exceeded our expectations! Its a decent traditional and well kept hotel with very good restaurant serving lovely local Wachau wines. The rooms are refurbished with new furniture, nice and clean bathrooms. There is a nice terrace and a bike storage room. The staff is friendly and take good care of the guests. I can totally recommend the hotel for a short stay....
I used this hotel also on a regular basis 10-12 years ago, nothing changed. It just got worse smelly old carpets, no modern coffee machine still the old way, diluted coffee, they had to do the fish that remained from the carnival four days ago we had from dads, diarrhea, old cheese, already oxidated and old salami.
The guesthouse is right in the centre of Pöchlarn, just a few steps from the main square.
The room is quiet and super clean. The bed is comfortable.
The owner is attentive and helpful.
The breakfast is excellent as there is a lot of choice and everything is fresh.
When I return next year I will stay here again.
It was an ideal place for one night with entire family. The apartement was very spacious, the bed quite comfortable. I was really positively surprised. I only had a couple of hours in Pöchlarn, but I really enjoyed a walk along Danube; a very special evening atmosphere.
Clean, warm and quiet rooms. Very good breakfast. It's easy to find. It was a great holiday stop for us on the way to Strasbourg. We will probably use this hotel again on our next trip on this route.
Owner was very kind and helpful. Room was spacious. Next door is the best pizza place! Breakfast in the hotel was also very good. Overall very good quality for money, and a good experience overall.
I used the hotel in transit to RO, near the highway, easy to find + parking spaces in front. Breakfast ok. For 60 eur / night + MD it is very good choice in the very pricey Austrian hotel market
Cyclists warmly welcome. Nice, clean and quiet room a short walk from the centre of Pöchlarn. Tasty breakfast with more than sufficient food and drinks. Very good price x performance ratio
Free public parking just in front, from afternoon until 9AM next day, very nice host, good internet, central location. Very good stop for us in the way to Romania. Good breakfast.
Basically we stayed in different hotel (in Ebersdorf) about 6 km away because of water trouble in this hotel. But everything was fine. This hotel was even better!
There is good breakfast available; the coffee is amazing . The hotel and the area is quite despite the train station nearby . Friendly staff and professional.
