Excellent breakfast. They have a restaurant. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Parking is available behind hotel, and one block away for overflow. Location is close (within 5-10 minutes walking) to the Lake, several additional restaurants, an ATM machine and other businesses. Also, the church where the wedding scene in the Sound of Music was filmed is just a 5-minute walk away.

Off season Mondsee looks like a huge house for elderly. Almost everything was closed, apart from a few restaurants in the middle of the city. Everything on the beach is closed from january to february.

Amazing location, beautiful nature, gorgeous lake and the mountains offered perfect walking tours. Local people were nice too :) The centre of the city is small and pretty, many pubs with great wine and food. The location as well as the nature were well taken care off and clean.
Totally worth visiting: Observation tower Kulmspitz

We were before Christmas, and at this time it is definitely worth going to this city for half a day! The center is small, but very nice, there is a small Christmas market, mostly with food, a very beautiful Basilica, and of course, the lake itself deserves a walk to it. After a two-hour walk, a good lunch at a local cafe or right at the market, and here is the minimum plan completed! In the summer, for sure, the program will be different.

Mondsee is a pretty small town from which it is easy to explore the other lakes and towns in the Salzkammergut region. Highly recommend the Seecafe for its view right on the lake. There were many shops offering the traditional Austrian "Tracht," so if you've always wanted to buy a Dirndl, this is your big opportunity.

They have the best church around the area, St Gilgen, St Wolfgang, Bad Ischl, etc. we were there last Sunday of 2019 and there were choir singing and the sound of the huge organ above the main entrance is just so perfect. Very good mass I have ever experienced, so quiet and solemn. The town itself is small, no restaurants and shops open on a Sunday.
We really loved Mondsee for its quaintness and lack of big crowds. The apartment is ideally located where you can walk to just about anywhere in the city very easily. The room was spacious and clean an the the staff were very attentive and quick to respond to questions. The bed was comfortable and bath spacious. An external balcony with table/chairs was very nice. There is parking on-site but we opted to use the free parking a few blocks away.
Absolutely amazing, I'm really happy that I choose this private accommodation than some big hotel.

Hospitality of the family Hemetsberger, ideal location and extremly clean rooms. Everything is just as it should be - simplicity with warm hand-made details. Our room was the best in the house - with a beautiful view on the Mondsee lake and mountains, we can't imagine better treat (stay was a present for my husband on his 50th birthday). Ideal for water sports lovers. We will come again!
The location of the hotel is very beautiful. it’s in the middle of Golfplatz with mounting view. It’s small hotel for 10-15 rooms in typical Austrian style. The breakfast was tasty, you can find everything you need there. There wasn't too much to choose from, but it was fine for my tastes. The room was big and clean, bed was comfy, balcony was cozy.
Nice remote location, outside of busy city life. Mondsee can be reached even by foot by taking the path along the stream.

There is a fireplace which is easy to use, fast warming and clean sauna and a lot of books around. Everything is set for a relaxing weekend. The apartment is well equipped and charming.

Unbelievable view on Mondsee from balcony, very pleasant apartment with spirit of old romantic times and dear hostess who was so kind to place my big family with comfort in spite of misunderstanding from Booking side. There was good private entrance to the lake cross the road beneath of Pension house.

The overall feeling of the accommodation was very friendly; it didn't really feel like a stay at a foreign hotel but more like staying with family abroad. The breakfast was very nice. The staff was really friendly and helped with everything needed.
The location was fantastic! Beautiful view all over the lake and the town! Judith and her family were very nice to us and invite us to meet the animals. Definitely will come back in the future if we will have the chance to visit this region again.
