Wonderful hotel, just 5 min walk from the train station. In the historic medieval center of town. Loved the unique character of the room, overlooking the river. Loved having a tub as well S a shower. Outstanding breakfast. Friendly staff.

Nice hotel in the center of Kufstein. The stuff was very friendly. The room was good. Parking is just in the basement. Breakfast is very rich. We'll come again.

At 09:00 🕘 pm we had a drink on the pitch dark terrace of this ****hotel. At 10:00 pm 🕙 total blackout outside. Room is sober, wall to wall carpet with stains, mini bar missing, curtains torn, mirror in bathroom missing, box for tissues on the floor, aso. The WiFi system was the worst I ever experienced. Not professional.

I like the atmosphere of the old town and the town's central location for cheap day trips to Innsbruck, Salzburg, Munich and even South Tyrol (Italy). It's also a good starting point for hiking and climbing in the surrounding mountains.

The city is quite small but has lots of activities to explore. My favourite one was going up with the Kaiserlift and doing some hiking up the mountains. Up there you can also find some nice cafes/restaurants to have a nice break and continue with exploring the nice outdoors. The city itself is quite nice and one could walk all around it in one day or so. The public swimming pools are also quite nice if you go with family and friends to enjoy a bit the weather.

Beautiful city.
Beautiful city. Although there are no ski lifts in Kufstein, there are good transport links to nearby skiing areas. The local buses to ski areas are free for skiers/snowboarders, but this is not widely advertised and it appeared that not all bus drivers are aware of this either, as on our first ski outing to Thiersee we paid for the bus fare despite wearing ski clothes and carrying skis and snowboard.

I visited Kufstein briefly on a day trip 2 years ago and I vowed to return for a longer visit. I only stayed 2 nights and this was too short. It is so beautiful, the castle fortress is wonderful and there are lovely shops in the town.

Nice, quiet little city. Very good starting point to hiking.
Nice, quiet little city. Very good starting point to hiking. If you want to go nearest city - Salzburg,Innsbruck,München - then easily access with train, about 1 hour. If you want go Salzburg buying the Bayern ticket - cheapest train price.
On our way to Italy we choose to spend the night in Kufstein, in the hotel that was recommended by friends. We expected
an 'old fashioned' typical Austrian hotelroom, but it was very modern and comfortable. The restaurant offered a good menu, and the local beer was delicious. From our room we had a nice view around, and we hardly noticed the traffic.
Also the parking possibility was well organized: a big parking garage on a short walking distance from the hotel. The ticket was charged by the hotel, when we checked out.
1) excellent location (everything is in 5-7 minutes of walk - a supermarket, museums, restaurants, the main railway station, bus stops); 2) comfortable beds; 3) fully-equipped common kitchen, a kettle and a coffee machine in the room; 4) fast Wi-Fi; 5) quick automated check-in and -out; 6) friendly personnel; 7) guest cards with a lot of discounts available in the Kufstein region.
Breakfast was absolutely perfect. The location is not bad but 20 minutes to the city center by walking. Just in front of the hotel, there is a bus stop every 20 minutes I guess busses operate to the city center. Only 5 to 6 minutes walking distance from the bus stop to the Soll ski area. And last, the hotel restaurant is perfect to dine in.
I was for dome reason, upgraded from a small Dingle room to a very spacious double room with a balcony. For some (other) reason, a Kufsteiner card with free admission to the fort and the Kaiser lift included n the price so don’t really have anything to complain about. Very good value for the money. Good central location and good breakfast.
Michael and his wife are kind and helpful. The apartment was clean, comfortable and high quality. Also, they provided the Kufstein Guest Card, which alow to enter several places for free or with significant discount. The location is fantastic, 3 minutes walking from restaurants, bars, supermarket, etc. We hope to come back again.
very nice hotel, breakfast is very good , smart bed and very comfortable. the stuff is super nice, I am visiting kufstien every year for friend reunion. from now on, I will stay in this hotel! if you ever stay in this hotel, walk for 2 mins to try the best sushi in Europe in Hao Asian fusion restaurant and Inn cafe’s cheesecake !
We had a lovely stay -- the hotel staff was very welcoming and the breakfast was wonderful! Traveling with our 3 teenagers is not easy in terms of space, but the room combination we had here was perfect. Our room was spotless. It was also in a great location, easy to walk to anywhere we needed. Would definitely stay again!
The location of this Hotel is close to the center of town, and features a beautiful view. The room had a nice balcony, and sufficient kitchenware to cook simple meals. Concierge at the hotel was helpful, and accommodated us when asked to. Having laundry as an option is also great.
easy to book, easy to enter,
But you need to be aware that there is no reception. Everything is done online but it is working.
If you look for a good value for money close to Kufstein for skiing or hiking this is the place.
The room is clean.
Platzhirsch Kufstein was delightful. The owners and staff are so friendly and helpful. We highly recommend the breakfast add on! There were so many personal touches, little gifts from the owners, that made this stay a 10/10.
Very cozy hotel.
Clean, nice people, god location, very decent prices.
I stayed one day and after one week I came back. If I have the chance for another summer Holiday in the area, for sure I will pick up Stadt Hotel !
It was a place to sleep and have a (very basic) breakfast. The "you get what you pay for" saying does not seem to apply here, much less serviced than what you'd expect from a place that uses the term "hotel."
The description of the hotel is accurate. Rooms are spacious and downtown is a short walking distance down to the river. The breakfast staff was very friendly and helpful. The wifi signal was strong.
The hotel and the staff were top notch. Professional and friendly. Elegant but very relaxed. The breakfast was spectacular. The rooftop sitting area was a delight.
Ideal location very much in the centre of Kufstein. Lots of bars and restaurants within a couple hundred yards of the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
We loved the comfy beds, the beauty of the apartment, how close it is to the center of kufstein, and the balcony.
The hosts were very nice and welcoming too:)
The view in the morning is amazing, there was a small stream right next to the hotel. The facilites were vrlery practical, it was overall a great experience.
