If you want to go on vacation, then Sharjah is absolutely not the place where you can relax in comfort and see something interesting.
I visited Sharjah many times for work 20 years ago - nothing has changed since then... Still the same dirty industrial area with the same poor service...

The staff are professional and to the point. You get the exact answer to a question and this always makes them serve you faster. I was happy with the room and the service and the location, it is also very convenient for all your needs like supermarkets, food stores, mosque etc. The car park too is very user friendly and accessible directly to the hotel lift. The only issue was that on my second day I found that many cars had been parked without any sequence and quite a few cars were blocked by cars parked across. I think there are many who are not guest in the hotel who also park because there is no security person at the gate and it opens for any car that comes in front of it. This is a point that the hotel management can take into consideration.

Sharjah is similar and at the same time very different...
Sharjah is similar and at the same time very different compared to Dubai. It is exceptionally green for the area and there are lots of wild cats - I like cats :). Like in all the emirates, there are beaches nearby, you have great weather and of course it's an Islamic country. You have as well the shopping possibilities in the traditional Souks and the modern malls. Unlike in Dubai, you literally cannot buy alcohol anywhere, which from time to time can be nice as well.
We had a stay, breakfast not included. We liked everything about Ibis Style Sharjah, from reception lady who was very nice to the valet Saleh who was very helpful with a big smile on his face. The room was cleaned everyday and smelling good all the time. The air conditioner can be adjusted according to our preference. The location of the hotel is easy to find and close to Dubai (only 20 min by car). The medical center is one minutes far away, the facilities (pharmacy, supermarkets, etc) are also close to hotel.
The hotel was beautiful. All of the staff were amazing and professional and could speak English, which helped a lot. Pretham, Prakash, and Fairoos were extremely helpful with assisting me in planning my trip and activities. They made my stay a lot easier, which I really appreciate. They are assets to the hotel! If you want to spend a lot of time in Dubai, the distance needs to be considered, as traffic and travelling costs into the city can be a bit much.

the stuff were incredibly helpful, and the amenities were great. The room was wonderful, clean, and perfect to celebrate the weekend getaway.

Very nice and helpful staff who were always available to make your stay comfortable. Very delicious breakfast with a lot of fresh fruits and traditional Arabic cuisine. Hotel offer a transport to Dubai Mall and other destination for free. Very nice beach with swimming opportunities for everybody incl. families with children. Good and well modern equipped gym. We will come again :-).
This hotel is based in Sharjah not Dubai. The staff at the hotel were very helpful. I turned up early because my flight landed early and they gave me a room on arrival. The room was very good sized and for the price charged it had all that I needed.
Around the hotel there are lots of shops and restaurants and it gave me a good feel of life in the UAE.
Good room, excellent, welcoming staff. The location is as close to perfect as you can get in Sharjah if you're not there just for the beach. Sharjah is a nice city and not at all like Dubai. Walking distance to the incredible Museum of Islamic Civilization, the Corniche, the Heart of Sharjah and the Noor mosque.
Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent food, very clean , the hotel is beautiful and the view from the room was amazing . Close to dubai yet really in the desert to enjoy the experience . Jamal organized a dune bashing trip, the driver was excellent . All was perfect !

The location of Copthorne Hotel is just perfect! Only steps away from the Corniche Street, Khalid Lagoon and Al Majaz Waterfront. Rooms are very clean, spacious and cosy. All amenities are there. The staff is amazingly kind and helpful!
