Much like its fellow emirates, Ras al Khaimah views the future as a world of opportunity, most evident in the capital city of the same name (also called Ra’s al Khaymah or RAK).
Although its skyline is not yet as dramatic as Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, RAK still has plenty of skyscrapers, many housing hotels and apartments on Booking.com. Some overlook its long, sandy beach, alongside luxury resorts. Watersports activities include diving, and to the south-west is Ice Land waterpark.
Desert safaris are a great way to explore the rugged terrain behind the city, site of Al Sawan camel racetrack and Ras al Khaimah Airport. One of the world’s first spaceports is also planned to be out here.
Saqr Park on the capital’s outskirts is the largest UAE park, and the Tower Links Golf Club is another green spot by a lagoon joined to the sea via Ras al Khaimah Creek. The nearby beachfront Corniche is a popular picnic spot, with landscaped gardens and lots of boutiques and cafés.
More shops are in Manar Mall and the ‘Little India’ district of Al Nakheel. The old city has a bustling souk and the National Museum of Ras al Khaimah, housed in Al Hisn Fort. Another important sight is majestic Sheikh Zayed Mosque with its 4 graceful minarets.

My rating of Ras Al Kaimah is based solely on Longbeach Campsite and not any of the surroundings. The fees charged by Longbeach Campsite for the unit I hired is ludicrous and I would strongly recommend that no-one book that unit at that price.

Do not book through Booking.com as they over charge over hotel tariff and also the hotel doesn't refund in case you shorten your trip. For example the hotel staffs here told me the tariff is actually 160-200 AED and booking .com charged me over 250. I finished the job early and checked out one night earlier but they made me pay for entire period as booking .com had already got their commission .

The Northern Emirates are a real gem, providing a completely different experience from Dubai/ Abu Dhabi. Because it is close to the mountains and the Omani border, there are new places to visit. Really worthwhile!

Raw Al khaimah is much less impressive than other emirates.
Raw Al khaimah is much less impressive than other emirates. The city is very widespread. There are few tourist sites. The major attractions are extreme high end resorts and some high adrenaline activities. Buses quite infrequent. Lots of malls.

Feel sorry about it
the arrangements of the food and food variety to the numbers of guest for two days stay remains the same that the hotels should expect that there much be alternative menu.
Try serving organic eggs or free-range eggs and using virgin olive oil and not white sugar for healthy living because as far as guest is concerned during our stay mostly fats, obese and overweight at least serve them healthy at least they skip from their common meals at home.
Pool amenities such service quite excellent and room right size for the small family.
Beautiful location, good hotel facilities. We stayed in the family suite, which was a massive and very cool layout! The food was not exceptional, but you can not expect more from the buffet restaurant, right? All the staff are very friendly and helpful there, very good kids club with lots of activities for the little ones. It is one of the best kids clubs that you find in the resorts!
Despite this hotel is a bit old, it exceeds the expectations compared to new hotels in Ras AlKhaima, this hotel by far is one of the best by its services, room tidiness and comfort and parking lot availability, its also near to many hot spots. If you plan to visit RAK this hotel must be in your list, you wont regret it.
Everything was perfect: the room, the beach and pools, the restautants and bar, the territory. The hotel operates in harmony with nature. We feel relaxed and comfortable there. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was tasty and delicious. To my mind the hotel is one of the best in Ras Al Khaimah.
I had a wonderful experience at the Rixos Bab Al Bahr. The service was excellent everywhere. Every staff member I encountered was delightful and eager to help. This is the perfect hotel for a weekend. Thank you! Will recommend to my friends and family.
The rooms were extremely comfortable, the breakfast was diverse and delicious, definitely one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had. The pools and jacuzzi were heavenly. Overall, it made our weekend very relaxing and we did not want to leave.
It was quite a pleasant experience staying here at The Cove Rotana Ras Al Khaimah. We went there to celebrate the 1st birthday of our son and we really enjoyed the facilities, ambience and food here. Would love to visit again.
Citymax hotel Ras Al Khaimah is nice decent place to stay in the city center. The staff are very polite and cooperative. The reception manager, Mr. Sameh, is very suuportive and ensures that every client is satisfied.
easy to access the tourist places from the property and the view from the balcony was really good. the staff were very nice and professional and hotel environment was the best thing I liked about.
