The staff were so professional and genuinely helpful and kind. They went above and beyond for me (I accidentally overstayed and they kindly let me know and i booked one more night, then they told me I had left something in my room when I was leaving, they told me directions every time I asked them etc...)
I noticed the difference when I checked into my next more expensive hotel and the staff were rude and unhelpful- It made me realise even more how great they all were at On Thapae :)

Good breakfast, good size room, oversized outsize bath - good for floating (Loy is Thai for float) and zoning out. Location good. Excellent vegan restaurant around the corner. My receptionist's English was excellent and was very helpful.

I love Malee Hotel and this was my third stay there. The staff is so friendly and attentive - I was travelling solo and my birthday fell during my stay, which I didn't tell anyone. When I came back in the afternoon after a day of visiting temples, I found a lovely birthday card from the staff in my room, together with some chocolates - what a sweet, sweet gesture! Thank you Malee staff, you truly made my birthday very special.
The room is spacious, quiet, super clean and with all the equipment you need (hairdryer, refrigerator, shower gel...). Bathroom is spacious, shower water is hot and the aircon is very effective.
The location is also perfect if you enjoy exploring the town on foot while staying in a quieter part of the old city. The reception staff go out of their way to arrange activities, day trips or even just an airport transfer for you.
I travel to Chiang Mai every year and have stayed in many hotels, but Malee is my go-to now, I don't look anywhere else. Perfect stay every time.

Amazing WiFi, same day laundry service folded perfectly, friendliest reception staff, 4 pillows on the bed, very clean, offered room cleaning everyday. So good we returned for another 2 nights inbetween flights.

Stayed one night. They have elevator! The room was very clean and beautifully decorated just like the picture, and it was even quite spacious! Electric kettle and mini fridge inside the room. Water flushes well, 7/11 (convenient store) right around the corner so it was very convinient.
