We just had a wonderful stay at Blue Horizon villa. It's tastefully decorated with a great roof top deck with sunloungers and a hot tub/jacuzzi. By far the best asset to this villa is the amazing view of the mountains down to the sea. The large windows mean you can see the view from all rooms and the large sliding doors open to provide an uninterrupted view. The area is very quiet and peaceful. Good quality furnishings, great bathroom and powerful shower. Communication was good with the host and they were very helpful. Despite the couple of negatives I've included in my review, we had a great stay and I would highly recommend booking a stay at Blue Horizon and we hope to go back one day.

We booked a room with private bathroom for one night. Casa da Ribeira has a rural location in a beautiful valley. The small village is just few minutes from the northern coast and easy half hour drive to Ribeira Brava. The accommodation is located in the semidetached house with easy parking on the street. Our spacious room was on the second floor. Our bed was comfy and we could use the private balcony with a great view. Our private bathroom had a large Jacuzzi bathtub. We used the shared kitchen on the first floor for making breakfast. It was very well equipped . There was also shared dining room and living room with TV. The house was quiet and very clean.

Everything was perfect for us. The host Teresa was extremely helpful and friendly, kindly and promptly answering our questions whenever we asked for advice. The location is Rosario, Vargem - a peaceful small village on the way to Sao Vicente, from where we could quite easily visit the beautiful Northern part of Madeira, but also drive around the whole island. The accomodation is very easily accessible from the main road and has comfortable free parking nearby. It is a prettily renovated house with a ground and first floor, having all amenities as described including a well equipped kitchen. It is spacious, comfortable and very clean. The house is immersed in a green valley setting from which you get to enjoy beautiful views of the mountains. Situated next to it is the church 'Igreja do Rosario' and a small cafe' Tendhina da Poncha where locals meet. Not very far away is a convenient supermarket with a very good grill restaurant underneath it. We gladly recommend Teresa and A Casa da Tia.

You cannot go wring with this villa - it has everything you may need + it's at an excellent location. The neighbourhood is quiet, off the grid, safe and bonus with amazing views. It's easily accessible, has driveway that accommodates two cars. The owner was responsive, great communication (there were some problems with electricity, promptly sorted out by the owner).

This place is ideal if you want to get away from bustle of cities. Location is probably the biggest plus - lots of trails nearby, peace and quiet. For such remote place the accomodation is suprsingly well equipped - pots, pans, cups, cutlery, dishes, microwave, coffee maker. Place was also clean and comfy - in short really great.

Apartment has everything you need. Fridge with freezer, induction desk, washing machine, bathroom, 2 bedrooms, 1 with double bed and the second one with 2 single beds. Great view from the terrace, location is great in my opinion just in the middle of the island, so the car is required. There is a parking lot just next to the entrance to the apartment for 1 car. Owner has sent me a code from lockbox where were the keys and she's really nice.
