It was honestly a great experience! Highly recommend to get a car as it is not in Ponta Delgada, but anyways a vehicle is necessary in the Azores.

This is one of the best hostels I ever stayed in. It's like being in a premium hotel where you share a room with random people. The staff are exceptionally nice, the rooms are clean, nicely sized and with great amenities. It's in a great location and very quiet. The key code access system is also really practical. The breakfast is nice, I was accomodated when I asked for soy milk. If I ever come back, I'm definitely staying here again.

The rooms and beds were very nice, and comfortable! the staff was very accommodating in providing a room for three children with three twin-size beds. The breakfast was great with a fantastic view. The location was walking distance to most things, and they provide valet parking.

Felipe was extremely friendly and helpful and gave a great tour of the property on arrival. Beautiful accommodation and great view from the pool area. We felt very at home here. Also loved the fruit and local foods in the room when we arrived.

For those on a budget, these cheap and cheerful hotels still have a lot to offer, with most offering WiFi and convenient locations. Popular with backpackers, many properties can be found in central locations and include comfortable rooms with private or shared bathrooms. The location only 10 min from Punta Delgada was very central and ideal for discovering the island. The lady at the recepción was the most helpful and friendly. The room was kept simple but had all we needed for our short stay. The breakfast was very basic but had something for everyone. The beds were the most comfortable we had while travelling around the Azores.
Spacious apartment positioned in a great location to explore Sao Miguel (Azores) island. The rooms (2 bedrooms and living room/kitchen area) were more than big enough for a group of 4 people. The terrace was also nice and spacious. There was always a parking spot available for us to use right in front of the apartment. We appreciated the hairdryer which was handed over to us at the reception.
The appartment is on really good location, about 10 min drive from Ponta Delgada, and few minutes from highway. Free parking space in front. Appartment is spacious, not new but everything is clean. The staff was helpful. Good value for the money, comparing to prices of other appartments on island.
Good location, while not on the sea it is close to the sea and has good parking. The hotel is very cute and nice, the staff are excellent. Breakfast was really good. When you have a car, it is a good choice of location as an alternative to Ponta Delgada which can be difficult to navigate in a car and gets booked up quickly.
I had an excellent stay at Hotel Arcanjo. The hotel as a fairly good location to explore the different landmarks of São Miguel. The room was spacious, and clean with a nice ocean view. The staff was nice and welcoming.
