We really liked the big and cosy living room. Everybody had a comfortable place at the open fire place and at the huge dining table. Although the weather was really bad (very rainy) we stayed a long time outside under the very big covered porch. The kids had fun with the kicker table and we swam in the very large pool. Everywhere in the casa and the beautiful garden you can find little surprises, like a turtle, old treasures like nice pictures and old furniture. Every bedrooms different and decorated with love.This is definitely not an off-the-shelf house and we loved it.

The hotel felt comfortable with great facilities. I liked the lounge with the pool table and the restaurant with the log fire. The pool looked amazing but it was out of season. The breakfast choices are made the night before, but there was plenty. The only thing I'd say is to provide coffee for the room as this is only available at breakfast. There are teas and fresh milk if you ask for it. Also there is a fridge in the room. The staff were all very accommodating and friendly and most spoke English though I tried out my Portuguese on them. This hotel accepts dogs in the bedroom for €10 per dog per night.
