This is an excellent hotel. Unfortunately we were only there for one night so we did not get to visit the town at all. We will definitely go back and we will definitely stay in the hotel again because it is one of those places where you can be very relaxed, really at ease with everything. We really appreciated the building and the quality of the services.

This is a beautiful apartment in central Viseu. Walking distance to all central attractions.
The apartment is spacious with high ceilings and full kitchen. Comfy beds and sofas.
The bed in the loft has a strange staircase up to it. Our kids stayed up there but wouldn't be for anyone with poor mobility.
The Gomes House is a typical country house from the early 18th century in the S. João de Lourosa, 10 minutes’ driving from Viseu city centre. It features an outdoor swimming pool.

This is a special property - a 300 year old family estate, ran by a couple, Luis and Christina. Undoubtedly, the hosts are kind and sweet people who made us feel very welcome (and even treated us to a glass of excellent homemade wine). The property is very green, has a large garden, a pool and good parking. I would love to give it a better rating, however our stay was objectively not comfortable.

The apartments were super, with great facilities including plenty of pods for the coffee machine as well as teas, wine and biscuits.
The bed was very comfortable and even though the building is in the middle of the town there was no noise to be heard through the windows.
Great position in the town and Carlos was a great host.

Amazing mix of antique and modern stay! Rooftop! Wirlpool! Felt honestly as if I was visiting the parents of a friend 😄 Isabel the caring, active and chatty mother and Fernando, the man of few words but a big heart and friendly smile 😁 Both people with such a big heart and friendliness. And although I didn’t speak any portugese (but a little bit of spanisch and french)Isabel and I were talking and laughing for hours. Great stories and also very educative about Portugal! :) Very relaxed and not at all intrusive. Just stay there, do what you like and be happy :)
The only things people who visit should know is: It is a very very rural area a little remote in the mountains. So perfect for a quiet stay and light hiking :) The next village with restaurants etc nearby is quickly reached by car maybe about 20 minutes. Oh and reception is not very strong out there, however they have excellent WLAN, so don’t worry :)

Loved the hotel itself. Very nicely decorated. Nice A/C in a hot summer day. Friendly staff and the food at the restaurant was delicious. The spa is a small circuit but very good. Two indoor pools that were very good with comfy seats. The outdoor pool was also very pleasant with nice shaded areas and comfy lounge chairs. The bed was comfortable and there an array of choices for pillows. Breakfast was excellent!
